Michael Monroe to support Motörhead on their 35th anniversary UK tour
by Rich ~ June 28th, 2010. Filed under: News.‘As eardrums batten down the hatches, Motorhead’s blistering, sociopathic hard rock confirms they are one of the few bands left whose sounds can be justifiably described as “the devil’s music”.’ The Guardian, 2009
London Friday 25th June – Motorhead have today announced that Michael Monroe will be their special guest on their upcoming 35th Anniversary tour in November this year.
Michael Monroe has long been at the forefront of breaking music barriers. The Finnish musician and multi-instrumentalist rose to fame as the singer for HANOI ROCKS and has served as the frontman for many all-star collaborations including GUNS ‘N ROSES and DEMOLITION 23 with Little Steven. Coming off the Hanoi Rocks reunion from 2002-2008, Michael returns with his highly anticipated new group. Together they will perform an assortment of material ranging from Hanoi Rocks and Demolition 23 classics, Michael Monroe solo favourites and three to four brand new songs the band has written over the last few months.
The band features bassist SAMI YAFFA who has played with a remarkable variety of bands including Hanoi Rocks, New York Dolls and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and guitarist GINGER who has dazzled audiences over the world with his band The Wildhearts. Also on guitar is STEVE CONTE, the New York Dolls master fretman who has played with Willy DeVille and his own bands The Crazy Truth, Crown Jewels and Company of Wolves. Rounding out the band is drummer KARL “ROCKFIST” ROSQVIST, whose resume includes providing rhythm for the likes of Chelsea Smiles and Danzig.
Having spent the last three and a half decades proving that as far as they are concerned, everything really is louder than everything else, Motorhead will pull out all the stops to make sure that their 35th Anniversary tour is not one to be missed. On the band’s 35th Anniversary tour, Lemmy had the following to say:
‘35 years and still going, who would have thought- almost like f***ing matrimony and no divorce in sight’
Make sure you’re down the front to celebrate with them when the tour thunders through a city near you this November.

Nice one, Motorhead always have great support bands,
but this time they have outdone themselves, really looking forward to it,
the last time I saw Mike/Hanoi was at the Rock & Blues Custom Show in 2006, they were fuckin’ brilliant, the best band of the weekend.
See ya in Wolverhampton.

when I first saw this, I was like “whatta hell” wasnt he supposed to be on studio in autumn, but then I re-read it and I am guessing that he is in studio earlier in autumn and does this tour in november.
It would be awesome to see this, but because I live in Helsinki City I am prettyy sure that I cant affort to see them
