Q: I once hear that Slash asked you to sing on his first Snakepit record. Is it true or not?

M: It's True. But I said no, because I had just gotten "Demolition 23" going.

Q: Are you involved in any way in recording of the next Guns n' Roses album?

M: Not so far.

Comments: I heard that Slash is still looking for a singer for his next Snakepit album, so just call him... I know that you two would make a great band! =>I've heard Magic Carpet Ride...

M: Well, he knows my phone number...

Anyways, keep on rockin'...

M: Thank You, I will.

Q: Kenen artistin tai bändin kanssa haluaisit tehdä yhteistyötä?

M: Omani.

Q: Oletko tullut Suomeen jäädäksesi vai onko tarkoitus muuttaa jossain vaiheessa pois?

Q: Oletko tutkinut astrologiaa?

M: Jonkin verran.

Q: Suurin haaveesi, jonka haluaisit toteutuvan?

No,kiitos näistä sivuista...tosi hienot. M: Kiitos.

From Mike

Q: Michael, I was very surprised when I briefly met you in Toronto and you told me that you and Andy still talk and keep in touch. It was great news to me. I was surprised because I had just assumed that you guys had a bitter split after Hanoi. I made this assumption on the fact that you and Andy never contributed to each other's solo efforts, while the other members of Hanoi did. So my basic question is why haven't you guys contributed to each other's solo projects?

M: Too much interference. Besides, we're not that close. Let's just say we're the best of enemies.

Q: Michael, here's a question I'm dying to know the answer to. Markku will be glad I'm asking, because I must have asked him to find out from you at least ten times. I understand that you played some sax and harp for The Dogtown Balladeers. I absolutely love their cd and was very disappointed to hear that it didn't get much exposure at all. From what I understand I think they have broken up. So now maybe I can sneak in this multi-parted question. Did you enjoy working with them? Exactly what songs did you perform on? Do you think they deserve an honorable mention on the discography section of your website under "with various artists"?

M: I can't remember much of that session. Sami was producing them and the name was "Scarlett Fever". I think I played harp on 1 or 2 songs. Maybe Sax too but I don't know what they kept in the final mix of it. You see I've never heard it finished. If I'm on it for sure, why not mention it? They seemed like a nice bunch of guys and a cool band.

Q: I hope you won't mind my last multi-parted question, but I'd love to know the answer as well. I understand that you were disappointed that Nasty left D23, but why did you feel the need to disband D23 instead of just replacing him? Have you and Nasty made ammends since then? How did Sami and Jimmy feel about the disbanding of D23?

M: It wasn't so easy just replacing him. Believe me, by that time I had gone through every possibility of a guitar player and there was NOBODY. He has come by backstage for a beer at my shows in Helsinki and we talk OK. He knows how I feel about things etc. I'm sure he feels shitty about it all but it's in the PAST: So fuck it. Sami & Jimmy just watched it all turn to shit. No help whatsoever..

Q: I know that in the past you were close with and seemed to enjoy collaborating with Guns and Roses. I was wondering that now since Axl is the only member left and the others are pretty much free and just experimenting with solo careers... Will you ever consider joining forces with Slash for possible recruitment in your band?

M: I wouldn't say no to him.

Q: Michael, will you ever consider collaborating with Markku for an official merchandise section on you webpage? I think this would be great!!! Your fans would have an easier time getting merchandise cds, shirts, videos, etc, and at the same time you can gain some extra finances through this official fan club merchandise sections. I'd personally love to be able to buy a video scrapbook ranging from the beginning of your solo career up until the present. Or maybe a cd of rarities of unreleased songs such as the demos made with Stiv in 1985 and the unreleased version of Magic Carpet ride. These could be possibilities. Please let me know what you think about this idea or if you think this can be a possibilty in the future?

M: Definitely a possibility and very likely (except for the unreleased version of "Magic Carpet Ride") in the future but right now I don't have the means to get all this kind of stuff together.

Dear Michael,

As always, your the best! Your music continues to inspire me everyday of my life. I can relate to so many of your lyrics. It's a great release just to listen to your music, especially if I'm down or pissed off about things. It usually makes me feel energizes. It helps keep me motivated. I am very envious of your musical talent. I dabble with playing the guitar. I'm not very good. Sometimes I feel like it just has to be a god given talent. I can practice and improve slightly but it just seems like I don't have it. Don't worry, I'm not discouraged, nor will I quit. Basically, I just want to point out my example to you just to let you know how lucky you are. You have the god given ability to play guitar, bass, sax, harp, drums, sing, etc. And not only the ability to play, but play them exceptionally well! I know you've worked very hard at it too. Believe me it shows! I'm just pointing this out to tell you that although you've had alot of hard knocks in your musical career always remember to be thankful for that god given musical ability that you have. It is a gift from above! Can't wait to hear the next album! it can't be released fast enough! Best of luck to you and Jude! Mike

M: Thanks a lot, Mike. That means a lot to me. Stay Cool. Love & respect,

Michael
