M: Why don't I speak Finnish at my shows between songs? That's not true. I do speak Finnish as well as English, but mostly English because a lot of people come to my shows from all around the world and more Finns understand English than foreigners do Finnish. Like why I am writing this in English now - out of consideration for those who many who don't speak Finnish. 
However, I usually hate speaking between songs anyways, I'd rather just shut up and sing...

Was I pissed off at the Finnish TV show "Yhden Illan Juttu" (One Night Stand). It was hardly amusing, very tasteless indeed. I don't know exactly what they were trying to do, but I thought I "took the points home". Besides that imitator guy isn't too bad... I've seen him before. That just wasn't his night.

Q: Hi, Mike!! I red from finnish magazine that you were going to Bon Jovi
consert in Turku.So, were you there?

M: As a matter of fact I didn't make it in time for the concert, but I was sick as a dog anyways so it's just as well I guess... It would've been interesting to see them live since I never have. I just know them from New York. We used to be label mates (Polygram).

Q: How is it to live in Turku anyways?

M: It's a nice city and the general vibe is good & positive. It's big enough and small enough. And I have a nice private flat. I like living here at the moment and have no plans to move yet.

Q: You are/were touring with Iggy Pop. Where did that idea come from?

M: Somebody in Germany with brains and imagination hooked me up with it. His name is Peter Knorn. I guess he had the right contacts and Iggy surely did not say no...

Q: Anyways, I think you´re bored of talking ´bout Andy McCoy, but I saw the film of him and I think that without you it would have been nothing. What did you like to be in it?

M: It was pretty interesting and sort of fun too.

M: How do I carry on year after year? Don't I get tired?? Yeah, sometimes but... Why not? Ain't nothing better to do, I'm not gonna give up now. M: What inspires me? I just kind of said it. But I might add: Solitude, clean nature, a dirty City, other music.

M: Yeah, I know him, but not that well.

M: Very much so. I love swimming. Just don't get to do it often enough.

M: Right now my new Studio track in the works called "Obscured".

M: I dunno... maybe the Caribbean... Antiqua, Jumby Bay.

Q: How tall are you? And how much do you weigh? (I hope that is not too personal!)

M: I'm 6 foot 3, I think, 183 cm.
I weight between 65 - 70 kilos approximately.
At my skinniest in 1984 when I was almost anorexic I weighed 56 kilos which is way too little for my height. But hey, I thought you can never be too skinny for Rock&Roll.

M: I don't know about New Zealand now, that's a good question! Lot of them are more or less available in the States, Europe and Japan.

M: I haven't made any movies but Mercury Records in Japan have released a couple of Hanoi & Michael Monroe Videos that could still be available there. Most of my records are signed to different labels, so I don't think I could legally sell them.
