From Petri
Q: If You could choose any
person - from past or present - to visit your following album,
who would it be? Why?
M: Kory Clarke (Space Age
Playboys Singer, ex-Warrior Soul) to sing backups or whatever.
Just because he's fun to hang out with and I miss him. He used
to live one block away from me in New York City on 3rd Street.
Q: Pick up your personal
favourite tracks from the Hanoi & your solo albums.
M: Hanoi: "Tooting
Bec Wrecked", "High School", "Motorvatin'",
"Underwater World", "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams",
"It's Too Late", "Problem Child", "I
Can't Get It", "Cutting Corners" etc.
Mine: "Can't Go Home
Again", "Nights Are So Long", "All Night
With The Lights On", "While You Were Looking At Me",
"Smoke Screen", "Shakedown", "Love Is
Thicker Than Blood", "Nothin's Alright", "Dysfunctional",
"You Crucified Me", "Deadtime Stories", etc.,
all of "Peace Of Mind"...
Q: When the next album will
be released? What will be the line-up?
M: As soon as. Right now
the line up is: Me, Myself and I with Michael Monroe, plus a
Special "Stuka" Guest and of course the heavenly Jude
Wilder.
Q: Sibelius, Sauna &
Sisu. What do they mean to You?
M: Sibelius - One of the
greatest composers of all time.
Sauna - A Hellish place on earth in most Finnish peoples homes.
Sisu - What most Finnish people lack completely. In English:
"Balls" so to speak...
All 3 together - a bullshit myth of what Finland of Finns suppodsely
are about.
Q: Which one do You prefer:
a big city or a country side?
M: Right now, country side.
Comments: Music has no business
in the music business, as You have said. Thank God, we still
have somebody to carry on the torch and passing the legacy. Keep
the spirit ja Hyvaa syksya!
M: Thank You, Samoin!
From Loupanga
Q: Like I already said before:
I can not understand that a musician, who made the ground tremble
that many times with his music, can't get his music out there
on a solid basis in an acceptable, respectable, human way WITHOUT
HAVING TO SELL HIS SOUL ! This is incomprehensible, not to mention
outrageous... It just doesn't make sense. It's like saying to
a kid: "1+1 = 3". Or "candy grows on trees"
.(Hey ... that would be fun actually !) Well, I don't understand,
and if anyone can, well then they are a more intelligent person
then I am ... or maybe ... better indoctrinated ! My question:
how do you keep yourself from drowning in this music-world ?
And who is helping you with it? Cause I can imagine that it ain't
always that easy or simple.
M: My Art.
My Art Keeps Me Sane.
Art = Sane
And people like you, (who understand less, the more you know)
and your support. Gotta be crazy to maintain your sanity. Besides
- Don't give the pricks the satisfaction!
Jude Wilder helps me.
Q: When will your next album
be out ? And when will it conquer the rest of Europe - USA -
... Or do we have to go to Japan? (Japaneese people are such
lucky bastards, don't you think ?) Just kidding ...
M: Soon. Then... when the
time is ripe.
I don't think the Japanese have been that LUCKY LATELY, financial
crisis and all...
Comments:
Good luck to Michael, Jude and all the rest.
M: THANKS! Same to you.
Hi to Markku.
Take care everybody!
From Patricia
Q: Do you think, I will
see you in Quebec one day?
M: Perhaps.. one day, I
hope soon.
Q: could you tell me wich
finnish band I shoul buy?
M: Apart from Hanoi Rocks
and Michael Monroe, try an album called "Roadrunner"
by a band called "Hurriganes".
Or
- Rock'n'Roll Band: "Everybody Needs Dance Music Sometimes"
- Wigwam: "Nuclear Nightclub", "Lucky Golden Stripes
and Starpose", or "Light Ages"
- Cool Sheiks: "Serve Cool" for example.
Comments: Mike don't forget
that they are a lot of people who love you here in Quebec{montreal}
I'll kiss you Pat
M: Thank You. I know one
now. Love & Light
From Markus
Q: Why don't you play any
Jerusalem Slim songs on your gigs?
M: Because I don't like
that record. The whole project turned out to be a mistake. It
should never have been released.
Q: Is it possible to send
a demo-tape to you and get your oppinion on it?!
M: It is possibly possible.
Comments: Thank's for the
Eternal Erection gig!
M: Thank You. I had a great
time. What a Fun Band, right!? Very Good'n'Funky.
From Ai
Q: Well, you might not like
this question, but would it be possible that you would play with
Sami and Nasty like you did as Demolition 23, which I really
loved and love to listen to? 'Cause I do believe that the band
was so great, and I miss that...
M: No. Jay Hening was the
original Guitar player for D.23 and because of personal problems
and bad luck couldn't join the band to tour outside The States.
He commited suicide about one and a half years ago. Nasty came
into the band under false pretense and destroyed what was left
of the band. Too much sorrow and pain is already attached to
that name. Jay Hening was one of the greatest guitarists of all
time and could have easily been a Super-Star.
Q: Sorry again, this is
a question about Razzle actually, is it easy to find his grave
if I visited Isle of Wyte?
M: I couldn't tell you,
right off the bat.
Comments: It was so great
to see Mike at Vanha. After that I was like walking on the moon
or clouds, you know. And I'd like to thank him for his kindness,
friendliness and everything. Well, I guess I will write to him
for that soon. See ya!
M: Thank You. Lots Of Love
to you. See You soon!
