SWE - Tuesday, September 29, 1998 at 11:07:47 (EET DST) I
am signing in memory of the love of my life who died this week
in a car accident. Her greatest wish was for Michael to return
to the US. Thankfully she died instantly, and in the tape deck
of her car was "Track From A Broken Dream". Please
know that a great woman was lost this week, and we have all suffered
a loss. Goodbye Cougar McKay.

Hey Michael , any thoughts on what Jimmy Clark had to say? Demolition
24? What a great concept....you could do a punk flavoured Lollapalooza!!!
Michael has the fans out there and this website would be a great
way to promote the tour. All in favor? YES YES YES

Toronto, Canada - Saturday, September 26, 1998 at 18:17:52 (EET
DST) Thank you for creating the easiest and most
fasinating web around. Saw Hanois last show in Cleveland at Peabodys
Down under in 1984. Have some excellent shots of Michael from
the same place in much later years as a solo performer. Thanks
for not throwing me out ! It was a pleasure to meet Michael after
the show and a bigger thrill to have shared some memories as
well. Hope Michael comes back around this way soon ERIN

Helsinki, Finland - Friday, September 25, 1998 at 16:40:23 (EET
DST) Santtu, I respect your attitude, but if boogie
is not in fashion then its not (Mr. Monroe's music is not boogie,
but Jason and the Scorchers music is) ! Twenty years ago all
punx hated the fifties style grease heads and said that they
are twenty years late, but now it looks like some old school
rockers are twenty years late themselves. Mr. Monroe has the
talent of rocking in the nineties, so all thats needed is a good
deal and production at a major label. Rock'n'Roll in the nineties
is doing good: or what about bands like Supergrass, Aerosmith
or Kula Shaker and many more. You shoud not soud like Jason and
the Scorchers, at least if you want to sell records, its all
about entertainment, right?

(EET DST) Michael: By the looks of your guestbook,
I think it's time we stop fucking around and think about putting
the next version of D23 together and hitting the states. What
do you think?

(EET DST) For years now I've been listening to
Hanoi Rocks and Mike Monroe. And I can say that NOBODY has or
had the magic that these rockers have. And Michael Monroe is
still a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL boy!

Loimaa, Suomi - Wednesday, September 23, 1998 at 20:24:19 (EET
DST) What the fuck is the matter with the world
these days? Nuthin's alrite when people are ready to pay 129
FIM for a CD of old "songs" by two german queers Modern
T... and at the same time they're practically giving away Demolition
23 CD at the same store. That fair? The whole music scene is
just sooooo... I dunno, pisses me off. You're tryin' to be a
down-to-earth rocker, you're fucked. You're tryin to deliver
the real thing, you're fucked. You're showing some genuinity,
man you're fucked. Anyway, thanks Michael for keeping the real
spirit alive, you're rare breed. There just ain't too many real
rawk'n'rawlers around nomore. Boy am I glad that Jason&TheScorchers are
back. Check 'em out live, kids.

(EET DST) I just got on to the net and this was
one of the first things I found. For the past 10 years I've been
a Michael Monroe fan and had to rely on the occasional mention
in a music mag. So it's great to now have bookmarked a site devoted
just to Hanoi Rocks/Michael Monroe.

DST) It's 15 years since I first raised my window
to the sweet sweet sound of Hanoi Rocks, been doing that ever
since. Now the question is where can I go to buy Demolition 23
CD's? Anywhere in London? By the way I live in Tooting Bec, and
yes I do my best to be a flashing psychedelic wreck.

London, England - Tuesday, September 15, 1998 at 01:53:59 (EET
DST) We will remember that gig as the greatest
experience we've ever had. First, we saw Mike at Tavastia on
the 8th August and after the gig we went to Backstage, there
we shook hands and had something to drink together with Jude
and guys of 69 Eyes, but the gig was similar to those of 19th
July 97 and 4th April 98 in Tavastia that only one of us could
see. Too expensive to travel from Barcelona to Helsinki only
for a gig. But that day in Turku... well, guys of Crystal Ecstasy
are our very good friends in Turku and we both enjoyed their
6 songs after some talk with them before the gig... Then, Mike
came on stage with Jude singing chorus in some songs and you
can imagine we were just like in a Hanoi Rocks gig after such
a long time when listening and feeling that couple of covers
of the mytical band. Crystal Ecstasy was the right band to play
with Mike that day, but it's a shame they're a band and they
cannot always play as musicians for Mike. The other Mike (Mickey...)
also needs his own frontman stardom and sure they're gonna be
a big band soon. Well, after the gig, when those ugly famous
youngsters were shouting we just were waiting for Mike and Jude
to finish all those photo sessions with some fans there on backstage.
Meanwhile, we were having a good time takin' pictures and talking
and drinking with Crystal Ecstasy guys. But then, at last, it
was finally our turn... Mike and Jude came to us and we had a
short talk and some nice family pictures together (don't worry
Mike & Jude, this week we're gonna send them to you...) and then
it was time for goodbyes and so on... Thanxx God it didn't rain
during the gig 'cause it was really the best gig we've seen in
our lives. And thanxx to Mike for being a vegetarian...then I
could eat that fuckin' tasty kebab which it was supposed to be
for him...Our best wishes from Barcelona (Spain) to all those
who still believe in real music, I mean glam-trash-punk-sleazy...and
if it comes from Finland then it's the best of best.... Martin
& Eli

HELSINKI, FINLAND - Friday, September 11, 1998 at 15:48:25 (EET
DST) Hey I have been looking for any and all Hanoi
Rocks memorabilia, if anyone has any for sale let me know. Michael
and Hanoi Rocks ar probably the greatest things I have ever heard,
and I keep on hoping that one day Michael will return to the
USA, hopefully the Midwest. Michael, if youreally read this then
please know that there are some folks out there who have never
seen you play live, and as much as I would like the chances of
me traveling to Finland, or Europe are pretty slim. God I hop
you know how desperatley I, and others, would like to see you.n
I can barely get anything here, in fact it has taken YEARS to
get what I have, and let me tell ya, it ain't much. Come back
Michael, PLEASE!

(EET DST) Thank God 4 Michael! At least someone
is carrying the torch! I'd love to see him on tour with the Philip
Lewis band! That would SOOOOOOOOOOOOO rock! Also, since Michael
was a friend of Stiv Bators (RIP) maybe I could get some answers
here... Is there any chance of getting the Dead Boys "We
Have Come For Your Children" re-issued? How about "Method
to Our Madness" and "Is Nothing Sacred?" by Lords
of the New Church? They're pieces of Rock 'n Roll history and
they NEED to be heard! If the Hanoi Rocks albums can get re-issued,
these can too! Is it possible to set up a petition (sort of like
the one you have up now) to get this done? I'd do it myself,
but I wouldn't know who to send it to!

Toronto, Canada - Tuesday, September 08, 1998 at 02:11:24 (EET

said he sends this to you evry month so i decided that i had
to write to you....because i mean...it's been like amazing that

was really mad cause there were absoulutley no good bands around...i
mean..today...well...hardley any...and i had listened to all
my CD's so many times i was about to break them all...and i wanted
to listen to somethin'...and i remember hearing Jesse talk about
Hanoi Rocks...i knew my dad had bought the CD...so i got it listened
to it..and i tell ya i have never been happier....it ROCKED!!!!
And you...you ... my god!!!! I don't know how you do it...but
you are absoulutley beautiful....i was like...i gotta know his
secrets...look..i know i sound stupid...and you thnk i'm an idiot.
But you do not know how happy i would be if you wrote me a letter...or
even wrote ...fuck off... and sent it. If he prints out this
whole thing then ya got my e-mail adress...right??? And..i'm
not sure if ya got a computer...but...could ya PLEASE??? PRETTY
