ANDY'S BACK IN THE BUSINESS AND MIKE TOO at least for awhile Considerin the Feenix gig last friady in Turku: I had to agree with Johnny Burner...Whoooah! as he mentioned the set list had changed quite a lot since Ruisrock and that's just cool 'cause Hanoi Revisited -thing is and should be dead and buried now and it's time to move on. THe best thing was that Andy was once straight and sober enough to make it really happen. And boy he was brilliant! All the time in tune and pace, great solos, no exaggerating, no stupid speaks and stuff, good sound and no hassling with the roudies. Just plain good rock and roll playd even techinically well. And oh boy Andy seemded to be so proud of himself and smiling! The whole appearance was very far from lowlife-loud mouth-disaster-Andy and too-fast-Mr. Monroe tryin' to safe what he could we saw in Ruisrock... And Mike was vocal-wise much better too, it wasn not just the aggressive sporting and posing but more focused singing. Even with bit of his great pop-sound back there, nos just punk'ish or metaalisas it has far too often been in his solo gigs. This is something I've been waiting for a long time. Mike seemed also to be more in his head than on previous gigs. If these brilliant guys manage to be just as focused in the future, there'll be the future!

jotenki säälittää niitä jotka on menossa sen "gannareitten" keikalle. sehän on vaa axl rosen rahastuskeino kun alkaa miljoonat olla ilmeisesti lopussa. guns n' roses oli hyvä bändi joskus '87 ja '88 mutta kun se alko menestyy ni se meni pilalle. siitä tuli liian iso. axl luuli olevasa joku michael jackson. leikki kovaa rock-jätkää mutta kun vince haastoi sen tappeluun iskettyään ensin izzyn kenttään, niin tää axl vaa juoksi karkuun. slash ja duff oli kunnon rokkareita, kavereita mötleyn jätkien kanssa ja ne ties mikä kusipää on axl. nyt tää menee ja perustaa bändin jonka nimi on guns n' roses, vaikka on vaa itse ainut tosta kokoonpanosta. jos mä menisin kattoo gannareita, mä menisin kattoo sinne slashia ja duffia, en axlia. ihmettelen vaan että miksi vitussa mike kehuu axlia kunnon jätkäks. senkö takii että axl on käärmeissään mötleylle niinku on mike. mut eihän slash oo eikä duff, mut silti mike on kaveri myös slashillekin. aika tekopyhää mikeltäkin, tai jotai sellasta..

Gig itself: If Tampere was a slight improvement over Tavastia's already great gig, this gig continued that trend. The band is going to be frighteningly tight after this Finnish tour!!!!

does anybody know when that record with andy is gonna be ready? it's really interesting to think about: mike and andy has barely never been makin songs. there's only few hanoi songs like motorvatin' but now the guys are makin songs themselves. what it is gonna sound? it's fuckin good question! hope there's gonna be lots of good songs. and mike should write more than andy, cos mike is better songwriter. i'm sure about that.

I just read your response to the recent messages that were posted. And I have to say that in that one small letter it seemed overly clear to me how genuine and special a person that you are. While I've never met you, and am pretty certain I will never meet you, I feel pretty safe with my assesment. I've been a Hanoi Rocks fan since 1983... And while I don't listen as much as I used to, I have to say that every time I do I'm reminded of just how great a band it was. Just a rare mix of personalities and talent that maked something special. We as fans only hope that as long as the feeling to create burns inside of you that you will share it with everyone... because that is where truely great music comes from. Just read your letter on the website, Michael. It sounds like things are very tough right now! Your in my prayers, I hope you can pull through & somehow find the strength to be happy!!! I know it's easier said than done!!! And to Lynn, thanks for your thoughts & prayers as today was an extremely tough day for any American regarding this senseless act of violence. Today was a day where you just question what is wrong with this world!!! With a child of my own, the future just becomes a scary thought!!
