Hi Mike! I first saw you live about ten years at the QM in Glasgow, your show was definately memorable. I hadn't heard anything about you for a while, and I was beginning to think that you had given the music biz up, and I was absolutely delighted when I had the pleasure of seeing you live at Strawberry Fields in Glasgow. Your show on Sunday the 24th of October was absolutely amazing, you sounded better than ever! You are very underated as an artist, and I feel that you deserve more recognition than you have. Considering bands like Guns n Roses, and Bon Jovi have quoted Hanoi Rocks as being one of the major musical influences in their lives. I had the pleasure of meeting you backstage at Strawberry Fields, and found you to be very nice to talk to and down to earth, although perhaps a little shy! I'm still trying to recover from the UK dates...Nottingham, Bradford, London and Birmingham, the last two done with an absolutely stinking dose of the cold but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Thank you Michael and Jude for a week of incredible memories and make sure you come back soon cos nothing less than a Michael Monroe gig seems worth going out of an evening for anymore!! Jude, please check your post for a letter from me and Michael: you seemed a bit bemused at XL's when I told you about your star but the certificate etc is in the post so hopefully it'll become clear! Sorry if you think it's a silly gift, it seemed like a good idea at the time! BTW - if anyone took any good pix at any of the gigs PLEASE e-mail me as I am willing to pay for copies. Your photos would be a precious reminder as my own camera was buggered so if you can help please take pity :-)

I was lucky enough to get to the Nottingham, London and Bradford shows. They were phenomenal, something I'd waited over 5 years for, and lived up to every expectation. Michael proved that he's still the rock'n'roll master, he can blow every young pretender out of the water. No-one can compete with his style and talent, he's such a one-off that everyone else looks tame and fake in comparison. I hope this tour is the start of good times again for Michael and Jude, now that folk know he's back and brilliant as ever. Thanks Jude for letting me talk to you at the Borderline. I did try to send a message to you via Markku P yesterday but, if you didn't get it, I apologise again if I came across as vacant. My hearing was shot and I was having a struggle to catch everything :-( It would be great to talk properly again with you but, if I don't get the chance, then all the best from me to both of you and have a fabulous gig tonight at XLs. Hopefully I'll be there to enjoy it!

Hi Michael It's the day after the Borderline gig and I can honestly say that last nights gig and the Rock City gig were the two best gigs I have ever seen! It's just a shame that when you came out of the Borderline in the afternoon it wasn't me who was picked to take you to Carnaby Street....still can't have everything we want! There's been a lot of comments in the guestbook lately about the audience at the Bradford gig; okay, it was only half-full, but that's probably because there was practically no advertising done. I was at Rio's two days before Mike's gig and there were no posters, flyers or anything to be seen anywhere - even the 'upcoming attractions' listing didn't list it. In fact, the advertising for the whole tour has been a bit minimal; I've only seen a couple of adverts for it in Kerrang!, and nothing anywhere else. The days when someone like Mike Monroe can sell out a gig in this country by word of mouth are long gone, unfortunately. Still it was great to see him!! (Happy birthday Stiv - RIP)

Sunday at Notts Rock city was the best gig ever witnessed by this 31 yr old, MM was just amazing. The energy, style, look, sound, set list, crowd responseGREAT, bought LGYD at the gig, got it signed by MM, photo with MM MARVELOUS by the way I had a copy on order with a record shop in Burnley, so if anyone is really struggling, email me & I should be able to pass on the address or get hold of the CD & you pass on a cheque, or something.. Bradford was not quite as good, due to the place being half empty, but it meant I could get down the front & dance with MM, ye he came off the stage a couple time & boogied!!!! Next stop for me is London & I'm glad I ordered my tickets early enough for the sold out show, can't wait, say hi, I'm the GLAM dude with purple/blue/red streaks on hair!!!!!!! Ste

Just like to say that "life gets you dirty" is by far far the best stuff mike have done since "nights are so long". Im pleased to here the Johnny Thunders influences in "whats with the world" (at least in the beginning). Just hope he gets the attention he deserves this time. Doesnt look to good when he`s on an obscure german hardrock label. Hope he can get a good deal in the state Rock on...

The only reason Michael's new album "Life gets you dirty" has dropped out of the Top 40 is that it's sold out! The record company apparently has screwed up big time by not sending enough copies to Finland, duh! You'd think his homemarket is THE place where this wouldn't be allowed to happen. Well, now they have lost the momentum that the fans gave the album by buying it straight away. What a swell job... the good news is that I heard from a shop that they will be getting more today.

To Jude Wilder: Hey Jude. I'm SO sorry you got stuck in Finland. That must be rotten for you. I hope you're fighting fit again soon. Michael was tremendous, you should be immensely proud of him (even more so than you no doubt already are!). Unfortunately, due to what seemed to be a lack of enthusiasm, that arrangement I was supposed to work out never happened. Everyone was really busy, I guess, but I know the meet-and-greets must be a grind anyway. Hello Jude and Michael. I don't know how you found out about my situation but I'm so shocked and happy at the letter you sent to me via K.C. Mike's cd abroad? It is very difficult to find in the UK, at least. I went through all major record shops in Glasgow and I could only find one copy of it (in HMV), which I bought immediately. I've heard that there is the same problem elsewhere in the country, as well, so things don't look good. I would also like to hear about experiences from other fans from other European countries. Is it again one of those "European releases" you can't buy in Europe, unless you do mail-order.

If you go to there web site..which you can find by putting in the search ...Recycled Records Springfield....you should find it...you can get any cd you want in any counrty,,,,and they will send it to you....they are a very legit business...and i bet they can get the new michael monroe cd.....i don't have enough money yet...but it is on my list of things to do.....!!!

Hello Mike and JUDE... I just wanted to say that I hope the tour is a great success and I also want to apologize to Jude, in front of everyone... "JUDE, I AM TRUELY SORRY" for what ever reasons, none of us knew that you were Michael's wife and when you were saying things directly to us, we felt you were just sticking your nose in,and it really seemed to a lot of us that you were rude, we may or may not have been wrong, no one really knows, anyway, it did not seem good when you didn't respond if we took you wrong. It is hard to understand why your marriage has been kept secret for so long but I want you to understand that small piece of info would have made some people's comments be different, not because you are "with" Michael but because it would have made more sense why you were so angry at times and why we heard so much more from you than we did from Michael. I am not trying to find out why you kept it secret, I really don't care and I know it is none of my business about your personal lives but I would like to say that I can't understand why anyone, famous or not, would want to act and tell people they are single and just friends with someone when they have made that wonderful committment to always be together. THE BOTH OF YOU SHOULD BE SHOUTING IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS and people could share your happiness that you have each other instead of thinking it is all bad!
