to the 'stupids' who dont approve, well they can stick with the 'man' & leave all the more great product for the ones who really care about the music......
how many of you out there collect bootleg material ?? let's see shall we....also lookin forward to u.k. shows, i'll be at several....c u there.....jj...london....

oi.....how can anyone be a 'real' fan of any group & not want to get bootlegs of them ???listen up gonzo, hiu...if you donn't want to get live unreleased stuff by michael monroe / hanoi whatever then i can't see how you can be a real fan.....if you go see a group live then you are gonna want to get boot stuff from that tour to remember it.....
this does not in any way effect the sales of official product, as people who get this already will have all the stuff you can get in the shops & want more...
so....get over it & get with the fans..hanoi u.k. tour soon, milton keynes here we come....if anyone knows 'rick'
(watford) fan of old tell him to get himself down there & meet up with a few more guys who used to see him at gigs of old.......& also you people should check out california punk rock done proper - 'PISTOL GRIP' - awesome tunes..l8r.

Selling them is NOT. Case closed.
Any transactions or offers (whether money is involved or not)
involving pirated copies of commercial albums will lead to legal
action. Hope this clears up any confusion.

Hellsinki, Funland - Monday, October 28, 2002 at 20:42:03 (EET) Why this all noize about trading stuff? Do you guys really think it's ripping off an artist if you sell/trade videos which are not on sale in any stores? I mean these rare videos that are shooted with a hand camera or something? Michael or any other artist cannot have money of these if they are not on sale, right? copying albums are totally different in my opinion it's ripping off, but selling something that cannot be bought from any store...
Vince
- Monday, October 28, 2002 at 19:21:09 (EET) I agree with John Gonzo. It's unbelievable that somebody comes here to sell bootlegs. As it is, as you said, ripping off the artists.

I've just been planning my budget and time table for the Hanoi Rocks UK tour. Lookes like I'll be attending six gigs. Not bad, considering I have to run back to London between gigs to work etc.
If anyone from London is going to any of these gigs, get in touch and I'll bum a ride ;) or we can travel there together or something..
Milton Keynes, Northampton, Dudley, Leicester, Bristol and then of course London.
Can not wait to see Michael again!!! Hurry here please!!!!

Very articulate and well put S of S. But I have a question for all. Why is it that everytime I pop onto this site to see what's happening and how long the CD's are delayed again(relax, just kidding), someone is mad at someone else? This often seems like a very angry site and Mr. Monroe does not strike me as a generally angry man. Just wondering.

True fan
- Thursday, October 24, 2002 at 11:27:43 (EEST)
Hey Kangaroo Kid - you say being a "TRUE fan" means 100% unconditional? To believe 100% in a person you've never met, don't actually know, because they are a good performer sounds more like donating your brain and common sense. Being a fan shouldn't be about being expected to agree with everything they do, acting like the sun rises and sets in their backside. Any performer who is also a decent and sensible human being ought to expect their fans to act with self-respect, be able to handle a bit of constructive disagreement (which differs from plain old abuse). Anyone who expected anything less, who expected total agreement to their "image spin", would be in need of some Vaseline and a helping hand to get their head out their arse. Being a fan and admiring someone's professional work does not mean thinking everything they think, say and do is right. Sometimes I think it's the fans who act like a perfomer is God incarnate who stop the rest of us being seen and treated like sane human beings, we all get tarred with that drivelling loon image just cos a few lose all sense of perspective towards the performers they admire :-(
Michael Monroe isn't a god, admire him while on your feet, not on your knees. And I 'pray' that Michael himself has more respect for those of us on our feet than the ones drooling on his boots ;-)

so laugh, have you heard it your self? doesn't sound like you have. It really does sound awful. Speaking of imitation, they try to imitate Hanoi Rocks very much, but with no success. What I'm sayin is that they should have done it more naturally, not try to be someone who you are not. Or then they just did it for laughs...I dunno...you should listen to it your self...
Dave

So Dave, I'm not sure you were totaly clear on how you felt about the Sads' version of the Hanoi song. Ha ha. You did'nt like it, fine but cmon, do yu have to be so nasty about it. They say, imitation is the best form of flattery, but you should put a bit of yourself into it. Apparently that's what they did.

Törkytehdas, mikä älynväläys nimeks. Jotenkin The Dirt kuulostaa nasevammalta. Ootteko muuten huomannu miten monilla leffoilla on tosi hienot suomenkieliset nimet?

Eli lukekaa The Dirt ellette halua menettää mitään meiningistä käännöksessä!

i was bruised and battered and I couldn't tell
what I felt
I was unrecognizable to myself
saw my reflection in a window didn't know
my own face
oh brother are you gonna leave me
wasting away
on the streets of...
I walked the avenue till my legs felt like stone
I heard the voices of friends vanished and gone
at night I could hear the blood in my veins
just as black and whispering as the rain
on the streets of...
ain't no angel gonna greet me
it's just you (her cat) and I my friend
and my clothes don't fit me no more
I walked thousand miles
just to slip this skin
the night has fallen, I'm lyin' awake
I can feel myself fading away
so recieve me brother with your faithless kiss
or will we leave each other alone like this
on the streets of...
to Soile, in memoriam
just too much of a Hanoi fan

In regards to the forthcoming UK tour, in an ideal world it would be nice to have listened to the album, say a month ahead of the tour, but at the end of the day its going to be great anyway, I remember when i saw Michael in Nottingham, and most of Life gets you Dirty was performed, but I hadn't got a copy of the album at that time, but it didn't ruin the whole experience one bit. roll on Northampton.....

I remember seeing Micheal Monroe walking around the Greenwich Village area in NYC during the mid to late 80's. I even remember running into him at a Damned concert around perhaps 1986-87? I was still in high school at the time. Well let me sign off before I really make myself sound old. Later.

You said it Derian. How stupid of me to even suggest something like that.I will take my words back! A living proof of that even though one has a PhD it does not neccessarily have to mean one can think. Apologies for all inconvenience!Raincheck my a**...

I think it sucks, your idea Jam. I mean, Michael performs pretty much in the same way both in his sologigs and then Hanoi gigs so what's the point of playin' the same songs with both, solo and hanoi ?

- Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at 14:41:24 (EEST)
I understand how you feel Jam. I was also hoping that the new album would be in stores before the tour kicks off but if it wont Ill still be going. But how about a raincheck for those who yearn to see them not until 13 Shots is out...

- Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at 14:40:36 (EEST)
Infact they did promise to repay me my money!!:)One pertty practical solution would be to change the name of the tour into Michael Monroe´s Watcha Want tour and play those songs instead if that album is due out before the tour, naturally some Hanoi tunes might be included to the set list too!whad ye think?

aaarghh! pain....i know this relates to nothin' 'ere but
still wanna be a loud mouth . so...one of my fave lines is:' she ran out of ziggies and went to buy some, right,
and never came back.' yea, write a country song now....
for me that's hilarious, i can't help it. ok, 'fore i get hysterical, i disappear....just ...y'know..when the tragedy is long gone, it all starts to make sense.
have a good day, everybody! salut!

On the subject of Hanoi's new album: The gentlemen in the band
came up with a bunch of new ideas to improve on the album, and
they were gladly given this opportunity to do so... thus a
comparatively short delay. Rest assured, the results will please
those who wait. 'nuff said.

on the official Hanoi Rocks site, they inform if some gigs are cancelled, so let's not spread any frustrating rumours here. The shows are on, unless the HanoiRocks site says something else.

A bit of a worry hearing the concerts might be delayed/cancelled. Already ordered tickets for three shows, got the ticket for Leicester already. It would be useful if the people who have heard the gigs may be cancelled told us where they got their info from. If they are to be cancelled which seems likely as the album new album usually coincides with a tour, could we be told ASAP what is going on?!?.
