GUESTBOOK OF NOVEMBER 1998

I too saw Michael in Tampere at Räpärällää on Nov. 27th and he rocked alrite. The place was a f***king joke for a rawk'n'rawl show but never mind. I was up there in front with Michael spitting all over me so it was great. I was kinda hoping to see at least some of my old friends at the gig but noooooooo. Where were you u bawring motherf***kers? BTW, anybody got the songlist from this particular gig? If so, please email me.

Best of luck Michael ! I saw your gig in Tampere 27.11 by coincidence while visiting a subsidiary´s annual party. A colleague of mine suggested the place, I can´t remember it´s name.( He was aware that you were performing there that night). I was kinda surprised seeing you playing in that kinda place. I have to say the place was everything but prober for a rock event, too many drunk people in a too small and inconvenient place, no fence ´cos I think your music and act was great. I think you don´t have to resign yourself to this kinda level, come back to states! By the way I compared your show to one I saw during the Not Fakin´ it tour -89/90. As I said, best of luck.

Has anybody heard Supperhead's cover of Hanoi's "Dead by X-mas". Or The Highschool Hellcats' song "Andy McCoy"? Are these songs available on some CD/single etc? What about the Hanoi Rocks Tribute album, of which for example Glitzine has written about?

I was writing that rock around Finland, before you release your next album which will be so huge success that we won't see you in Finland for a while. (I hate this computer..I hate all computers!) By the way I was your roadie at your Kauhajoki gig! So if you're looking for a confident roadie...

I am not a veteran fan. I was born around the time that Hanoi Rocks formed. But I am a huge fan. I also know a 13-year-old who loves them/him too. I think it goes to show that Michael Monroe will continue to be adored and listened to and admired forever. He is my hero. He's brilliant. Genius. I think he's the greatest person there is. And this sight is pretty great too. I come here every day.

It's great to see web pages like this dedicated to a man who was so much ahead of his time - and certainly in this country never got the recognition he deserved. In England David Sylvian of Japan was always called the most beautiful man in the world, but not in my book, Mike was just so incredibly beautiful he made all us other males feel inferior - and he could wear make up with class in fact he looked like he was born to wear it and inspired many people such as myself in that regard. To the man who led the band that was ahead of its time - Michael I salute you.... Bob

This is a kick ass site! I have been listening to you for over a decade and I love your music and talent. As a vocalist just starting my newest band, I want to tell you that you have always been a HUGE influence on me. If you have any tips, I'd love to hear them. Have wrote a lot of lyrics, and a dream of mine is to do a song with you someday (guess I need to put the band together first!). Keep up the great work, we love you in Indiana!

The best thing about Mike Monroe is that you can listen to his music for years thinking it's great until one day you realize that it's not great - it's brilliant!!! That happened to me yesterday at a local Tesco and I almost started to sing and dance, but I managed to keep my calm... Thanks for the experience, Michael!!!

i am really amazed about the "michaels replies" section... not that i wanted to know everything about your private life, but i didn´t dare to ask anything personal...just plain, boring facts...but i´m glad how you have answered very kindly (and not saving your time & effort) to everybody as a singular individual...even though some topics are a bit repeating themselves...THANK YOU MICHAEL !! i wish there would be a chance to ask some questions from you again ...maybe next year? and: by the way... do you remember the mauri kunnas/hanoi rocks- cartoons from the eighties ? if not, have a peek at how he you saw you & andy then at my homepage..i think there is something really warm in it !!! have it so good... winter is here...chop ´em woods & take care of yourself !

Edelleen toivon ettæ nopeasti saat levytysasiat kuntoon ja mahdollisimman monta maata kattavan kiertueen pystyyn, niin tæmæ kaikinpuolinen odotus vihdoin palkitaan. Haaveeni næhdæ sinut livenæ Lontoossa ei vaan hellitæ, mitkæ olisi omat fiiliksesi esiintyæ siellæ? Missæ mieluiten, jos saisit valita, miksi? Voimia ja kærsivællisyyttæ, uskon ettæ næmæ hommat vielæ jærjestyy! Johanna

Thanks Michael for everything you have done for rock music throughout the years! I'm very much looking forward to seeing you back on stage in Turku on November 28th this year, where I will attend no matter if my old Peugeot will hold together until that! I hope and dream that I someday will be able to meet you and tell you face to face how much I - we rock music fans - appreciate your work (doesn't every fan do that?) and I must say that I envy my friend Maukku a lot who has had the opportunity of talking to you for already a few times! Well, maybe I'll see you offstage in Turku if I get lucky? You never know! Take care until then and send my love to Jude who is a very nice and warm person (I had the chance to meet her offstage at Tavastia once after your gig)! Ta-ta now! - Kride
