GUESTBOOK OF MAY 2002

Axl Rose sexy? Eat my shorts! He's a first degree twat. Xenophobic wife-batterers aren't in the least bit sexy. Michael Monroe, on the other hand, is pure crumpet :-)

I've just started to get into Rocks and...they ROCK!! Mike Monroe and W. Axl Rose are the sexiest men alive...EVER, were in the eighties, nineties and still are now. But the real question on my' young, virginial lips is 'When are you going to tour the UK?'. I'm dyin' to see the Great Mike Monroe. This year I get to see the Great Axl for the first time and to see Mike, I'd never get over it! C'mon get over to England and show the crappy li'l hoody fans (there's too many wannabes in the UK)what REAL rock n' roll is all about and not all of this depressing Slipknot trash. 'Cause Until I Get You I won't be happy! (A faithful to good ol' rock n' roll) Nyah X X X

to "the truth": I like Mickey very much too but still I'm very happy that he doesn't play in Hanoi Rocks 'cos it would've meant the end of Crystal Extasy. And if something, that would be the shittest thing. but hey everyone, come to Turku and seen Extasy playin' two gigs, the other one with 69eyes. Love&Light!

Totta kai jossain TV-showssa on ihan erilaista soittaa ku jossain klubi-keikalla, missä on paljon porukkaa. YOU DO NEED PEOPLE LIKE THEM!!

By the way Andy has said that they both play solos with Costello.

Costellon skebaa vois kyl tosiaan kuulla vähän enemmänkin...soittaahan se People Like Me:n soolon Andyn kans puoliks...sit kuitenkin ku esiinnytään ni Andyn nupit on kaakos (niinku tietysti pitääkin) mut Costista ei pahemmin kuule...

There were problems with Costi's channel up to front, line went dead in the beginning and got fixed just before encores. Stage sound was ok, though. webmaster@hanoirocks.com

Ainoastaan äijän soolospotissa ennen Up Around The Bendiä kuuli Kostin kepistä jotain... TAHTOO MICKEY CRANEN TAKAISIN!!!

To you Hanoi Roxx, your insistent comment suggests that the solo guitarist is the main man in a rock band and that the rest of the guys are more or less replaceable suplements, apart from the lead singer of course who in this case happens to be Michael, am I right? I just can´t see why all this conservatism from your side.Is the lead guitarist in your opinion that much more valuable for a band than the rhythm guitarist? What if the so called rhythm guitarist was the one writing all the music?
Seb
- Friday, May 31, 2002 at 00:50:28 (EET DST)
Seb, why not let Costi play those solos because Andy is not so good with them? Fuck you! Costi is OK guy and a good guitarist, but what do you think, if you would have made those songs, would you let someone else come mess around with them and take all the glory??? Andy is the ONLY correct person to play solo guitar in Hanoi Rocks! Of course there are better guitar players out there in the world than Andy is, there is ALWAYS someone better, no matter who you are talking about!!!

Costi on ainaski teknisesti taitavampi mun mielestä mut ootte tietty toista mieltä suurin osa...

The sad thing about Delirious is that it's not Hanoi's own song but a track by the Heavy Metal Kids (Gary Holton & co). If it just would be Hanoi's own tune but unfortunately that ain't to be.

Eipä ollu yokotain esitys oikeen mistään kotoisin. Biiseissä ei oo mitään vikaa, mut ihmettelen vaan miten noin kokeneet jätkät voi skulaa noin surkeesti. skebat epävireessä, soolot mitä sattuu ja stemmat päin vidduu. Tosin tv:stä katselu ei vastaa live tilannetta lähellekkään, mut kyl siihen soittoon tarvitaan muutakin ku pelkkää fiilistä.

Big thanks to you both, my Swedish friends! Today I fall asleep listening "Dom Andra". ...and before someone gets mad saying this is not Hanoi related - well, it actually is. This is also a good general info for everyone about how to get some *LIVE* songs of Michael Monroe. Buy the records, but if some record is deleted, the way I see it, you can download it. It is only good if people get happy because of music.

Where the hell can I download "Dom Andra" video from Kent?? What filesharing programs do you Hanoi Rocks fans use? I have tried Kazaa, but there is only one incomplete version of that excellent video. There is some Michael Monroe related stuff also. I downloaded a live song "dead, jail or rock'n'roll" which Michael performed with Axl Rose of Guns and Roses. Cool!

hanoi records are available in stores so why don't you buy them? other thing is michael monroe records, most of them ain't available.. if you find somewhere those MP3's, download them! nothing can piss me off more than great record which isn't available. why? i don't know... maybe they just want that people go to new and downloads MP3's instead of buying albums... don't you think it's fuckin stupid? download albums from net for free... paying nothing for it. but what else you can do.. you cannot get example 'nights are so long' or 'demolition 23' anywhere! some japanese version of 'nights are so long' costs some 26 euros, REAL MONEY MAKERS! who wants it.. he will pay, a LOT! I tried to buy this record from huuto.net, but the prize is going on in some 25 euros or something.. I would want to buy this CD but maybe some 15 euros would be better prize. don't you agree with me???

Hello! Thanks to Hanoi Rocks for the Tavastia gig! I have been in many concerts and that was like the best fucking rock concert that I have ever seen. Mike and Andy were great as always but let met tell you, those other guys are perfect for the new Hanoi Rocks...I think that Costello is really good choice because he is a good guitar player and because he has a right kind of positive smiling attitude...you can say same about the Lacu and Timpa too..Hanoi is just a good mood rock n roll...Cant wait for the Ruisrock gig!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, tohtori korjailee hieman esiintyneitä faktoja! Ei makkonen näyttänyt sormella Andylle mistä solo alkaa vaan pojat olivat tehneet uuden sovituksen ICGI-biisistä (vika säkeistö ilman skebaa / only bass&drums&vox). Olikohan Andy liian laiska? :) Vitullako sillä väliä, oli ihan törkeän HYVÄ keikka.

Hi everybody! As I posted on the HR message board, I travelled all the way from Italy to see my first ever HR show after 17 yrs of being a fan.. of course I have no terms of comparison, but if that was a 'weak' or 'bad' show, well, that means that a good show would be like armageddon!! I think they were fantastic, in great shape and they ROCKED! Moreover, they played all the songs I wished to hear and to me it was simply perfect! thank you guys!

to you anders... I don´t know what the HS reporter had said about the Tavastia gig, but as I was there myself to witness this in the front "seat" I must say that this was really one of the best gigs I´ve ever seen...Andy´s performance was like it always has been, excellent and Mike was just full of energy.. And of course the three others: Lacu, Costello and Timpa were brilliant!!! There´s no band like Hanoi Rocks!!!

Ja silloin ei ainakaan miken tarvinnut näyttää andylle sormella mistä i can't getin kitarasoolo lähtee...

Hi! I read a review of the Tavastia gig in yesterdays Helsingin Sanomat and I have to say I got a bit confused while reading it. I wasn´t there to witness the gig with my own eyes and ears but what I´ve read on this and on other Hanoi related sites the feedback has been hundred percent positive. Now this reviewer, can´t remember his name, really didn´t say too many positive things about the gig. His views on Andy´s skills and Michael´s performance really made me cough a few times. Now, somebody with enough objectivity, take off your Hanoi Rocks glasses, be open minded and honest and tell us what really happened last Friday:)!! I had thought of subscribing to that paper but first I have to know whether their articles are reliable or just mere bollocks:)!!!

Michael, Don't get me wrong, I loved Hanoi Rocks, but I think your solo stuff (Peace of Mind, Not Fakin' It...etc) is miles better. There is not a bad song on Peace of Mind. It really is what a Rock n Roll record should sound like. It will be interesting to see how Hanoi Rocks sounds. Hopefully like your solo stuff.. Take care, man

I can assure you the JS-Demos really kick ass! My favorites on that are in the following order: Lethal Underground(killer tune which I would love to hear Michael perform live),Hundredproof Love(great lyrics!),Gotta Get a Hold(awesome chorus),Rock'N'Roll Degeneration, Final Word(great story), Teenage Nervous Breakdown, Delirious(weird but funny)

I read somewhere that songs of jerusalem slim were good but then producer wanted to turn the music to some glam metal style. I'm really surprised, why the fuck? glam metal in 1992 was dead and done, rock n' roll was only thing which could have lived for maybe one year. I'm now talkin about big bands and cos jerusalem slim was on big record label, they were trying to get it sell well. I haven't heard the demos but they might be very fuckin good. the songs ain't so bad, the producing and otherwork has been mistaked.

Jerusalem Slim is one of Michael´s albums released back in -92. The album itself ain´t much to talk about the demo cd, JS-Demos is brilliant!Try to get your hands on it instead of the official album! Why the album failed...well ask Steven Stevens for instance:)

Everything that I tried to do today could not be done. Why is this life so hard sometimes? Why the hell do we have to born if we have to face this kinda shit??! Michael, I know you have been depressed from time to time also. Visiting this web site and telling you about how I felt today gave me some strength and hope. Thanks Hanoi Fans. last summer I was in Ruisrock, it was cool festival. I'm only fucked up of one thing because I was going to see Hanoi Rocks, Hellacopters, Backyard Babies and Him, but when Hellacopters played, I was so fuckin drunk that I hardly remember anything of that gig. Hanoi Rocks I do remember well. But this summer I'm not going to Ruisrock because of money. I now live in jerkward of Finland, Joensuu, you can hit me for that! It's over 500 km from here to Turku, so it takes money, in last summer I spent over 200 euros only for Ruisrock. Also I was in AC/DC concert in Olympic Stadium, Helsinki. It was somehow much better feeling than ruisrock, maybe because of the loudness. AC/DC played much more powerfull sound than the bands in the Ruisrock. This summer I'm going to watch Ozzy and Hellacopters in Ozzfest, I think it will be fuckin cool. And ANKKAROCK, there's no other good bands than Hanoi Rocks, well 69 eyes is worth of check it out. My all money of summerjobs goes to these things, drinking and concerts, gigs, festivals.. Now I've made my own wine for third time! And they are right who said that 3rd time says the truth, first wine was good enough to drink, 2nd was, well, little bad but I didn't care but this what I now got finished, fuckin beutiful taste! I don't have money enough to buy expensive boons of ALKO, I only buy beer and drink my home-made wines. How many here makes home-wine??? And who are going to go ankkarock?

yeps, nikki was cameleon. but still fuckin cool. he copied stings from bands, but big audience tought that they were nikkis own things. so with big bands, mötley was the band who, for the whole decade, show to other bands the new things and where to go. when others made those what mötley did, mötley buried them and started new thing. that happened for three records time and allways mötley managed to change the whole hard rock style. 1983: glam metal with satanic things - wasp bands copied mötley, in 1985 everybody copied theatre of pain although mötley copied it from hanoi, and in 1987 came these gnr and la guns bands which got famous just because girls girls girls were out and changed the hard rock style to street rock. so crue made the 80's era, we can say... but long live MICHAEL MONROE, he still has his own thing and I think will never change which I like much more than those creeps who allways runs for money.

This is what Brent Muscat(guitarist from Faster Pussycat) said in an interview at Metal Sludge.com 4. In your 20 Questions with us in July of 1999, you called Nikki Sixx a “rip off artist” in your Word Association. Why is Nikki a rip off artist? Explain. It wasn't meant as an insult. I just think Nikki borrows a little from everything. If it is "cool" or "in" Nikki will have his hand in it. He is a chameleon. After Hanoi Rocks came out, they changed their look to compete.

i've written so much there in last few days so now i keep a break, this is the last one for one week! SO THIS IS GALLUP about best-ever-seen and worst-ever-seen album covers/artwork (no matter what band or a record): my favorites: top 3 mötley crüe - too fast for love (i think this the best album cover there has ever been and will be!, mötley is not my most favorite band but this cover is, not meaning that way...) mötley crüe - girls girls girls (this is fuckin cool cover too, what would be more rock n' roll than taking harleys in the picture and other artwork is well done). michael monroe - not fakin' it (this one is something you never forget if you've seen it). worst: hanoi rocks - back to mystery city (not to fuck with hanoi, but this cover ain't so good, i think. hanoi is still better band, much better than mötley but covers weren't). hellacopters - supershitty to the max (fuckin stupid!) la guns - cocked & loaded (one of the best albums i've ever heard of these la -bands, but the cover still sucks). of course the music and the band is the main thing, but if the record has a good artwork, it saves a lot the bad record. it's only bonus if its good.

I'd like to hear a new version of "Shakes" which maybe is the most forgotten Hanoi classic ever. It really shakes. But if the guys do new songs like those three on the single there is no need to use the old stuff. Maybe some live versions or something as a bonus in a single would be a good idea yes. It's a fact that Mike and Andy are getting older as we all are but it's not about the age, it's about the attitude. Rolling Stones, U2 etc. are not young anymore but they rock as always and to full concert halls. I'll be going to rock till I drop..

I just got thought, that maybe new HANOI album will contain some of the '85 demos, which were put on the LEAN ON ME album. I won't be surprised if they re-record one of them, and that's good. Also I'd like to hear Beer and Cigarette's new version, if they don't like to play it on album, maybe for singles bonus tracks, and why not WHISPERS IN THE DARK. but not any more!! hah! I said those because they were played on the tape with such a cool sound but still I think they are so good songs that it would be only good to have them with little better produced-sound, NOT MEANING OVER-PRODUCED! because single was number one in finland, it has maybe sold gold, i'm not sure but 95% sure. was it 5,000 copies? well, new album will sell over gold, i'm sure, it's 15,000 units in finland. I'm 100% positive that it will made top 5 in finland, maybe even number one! if it will be number 1. we can say that "HANOI IS BACK IN BUSINESS!". it's already now, but then there wouldn't be no doubt about it.

It's GREAT news Hanoi Rocks is back!!! I really really love the new single, I have a feeling you will make it this time!! ..but then.. an interesting question is: how long will Michael and Andy keep on going like this? I mean, they are not that young anymore (something like 40 years old). I'm afraid we can enjoy Hanoi Rocks the next 10 years MAXIMUM. Mike is then 50 years old and it's hard to imagine a 50 years old "grandaddy" singing cool rock'n'roll on stage! People usually start losing their hair also at that age. Bald Andy and Mike on stage would be a funny thing to see :) When you get older, your movements become slower, so after 10 years Andy is probably not able to play those cool guitar solos he plays now. So, what I'm saying is: ENJOY HANOI ROCKS NOW!!!! THIS IS UNIQUE TIME WE ARE LIVING NOW AND IT WON'T PROBABLY LAST MANY YEARS - SAD BUT TRUE!!!

yeah.. manson is quite boring. only thing which I really liked was this "mechanical animals" record, where he decided to do something little more own-thing. of course that glamorous image was copied from some 70's guys but who hasn't copied them? but this alice cooper copy-image is totally shit. new single is terrible, guitarsound is fuckin shit. but if I look him some otherside, he's only rock n' roll rebel guy now who's in fashion. I don't hate him but I haven't any reasons to buy his records... Fight Song was good, raw song, I liked that and bought that one on single. But lets stop this talkin about just a stupid person who doesn't have his own personality. He will allways be just a Cooper-copy with this serie-murderer name.

people like me -video is one of the best videos I've seen which is done the budget that Finnish bands usually have. There's no any fuckin stupid jokes or anything like that, kidding and bullshit. It's just typical rock n' roll music video, not too fast which is good. One time they are singing in studio or was it jamming place, I'm not sure. And once they are just fuckin around and that's how good music videos allways are made. Think about these shit videos they are rolling in MTV. Pure shit. Some stupid Kent video where this chick is only driving the sportcar and nothing happens, if you've seen that video for two seconds, that's enough, if you watch more, you'll get tired. But people like me doens't do that, it's 100% fuckin good video, just like welcome to the jungle or paradise city -videos. well done guys!

Why would Michael spit on Twiggys face? I´m sure he has some manners. Well...the truth IS Twiggy creates some seriously brilliant guitar and basslines. And besides he likes kittens and has a smokemachine and multi- colored disco- ball in his bedroom. When Michael finds this out I´m sure he´s sorry he wasn´t the woman of Twiggys life. I´m tryin´ to come over this confession which is affecting my gentle connection with my guitarist.

I bumped into Costello earlier today just to see him and some other guy either pack or unpack what was apparently a tour van of some sort. I´m pretty sure it wasn´t Popeda´s and surely it wasn´t Hanoi´s eighteen wheeler:)..I guess it had something to do with Costello´s solo band, the Neropats. First I thought of exchanging a few words with him about Hanoi but he seemed to be busy and I was on my rollerskates but anyway he seemed to be all smiles this sunny day. I´m off to spend the summer in Stockholm so I´ll see you guys at Klubben in June!By the way Klubben ain´t among the biggest clubs in Stockholm, I´d say the capacity is around 300 and therefore I think it´ll be a hot and crowded night!See you guys then!!

Mr Muchagente (aka R.I.P), I´m a federal judge at the court of law. Do you realy think that I´m going to waiste my valuable time to read or listen your responses to my writing? Do you REALLY want me to do it? I rather listen to Hanoi Rocks (c´mon) than you threds. But if you think I should, I would and could start the process. I have one suggestion, go to doctor and share your problems with Medical professionals rather than Legal.

Hey Mike! It's been a thousand years since I last saw & talked to you.. My deepest heartfelt sympathies. I often think of the days hanging out with Stiv, Steve Von Saint, Sammy & yourself here in New York. Those days seem sooo long ago. Great to see you & Andy making music again. You have no idea the impact and influence you had on myself and my music... From New York in the 80's with Angels In Vain to LA in the 90's with Saigon Saloon and now in the present right back where it all started, wioth Joker Five Speed. I hope you are doing very well. We all miss you here in New York. Wishing you the best mate.. Cheers, Scarlet Rowe (formerly of "ANGELS IN VAIN")

Hey Mr Webmaster and others who are critisizing this drum discussion! This discussion started with comparing the talents of Hanoi-drummers to one once-almost-to-fill-in-for-dead-Hanoi-drummer and this has very much to do with Michael Monroe!!! So let's leave out all discussions concerning Andy McCoy, Sami Yaffa, Nasty Suicide, Timpa and Costello then!!! What would rock music sound like if there wasn't drums??? Think about that. Take off the drums and you could just as well throw away your keyboards. Who needs 'em? Heck, we can just as well take away all guestbooks as well!
WITHOUT DRUMS THERE IS NO RHYTHM AND WITHOUT KEYBOARDS THERE WOULD BE NO TEXT ON THIS MESSAGEBOARD!!!

I'm pretty sure that somewhere in the web there must be forums where to discuss about colours and drummers. I'm also sure that The Guestbook Of Michael Monroe's Official Website is NOT the correct place to do that.

and i gotta write a one more time. think about if I had a fuckin cool punk rock band, just like sex pistols was. I wouldn't take there any black-guy to play cos i think they just doens't fit on the punk rock band. if there was a rock band of four black guys and i asked them that could i play on their band, they would easily say: "sorry dude, we're just forming a blues band and any white guy just doesn't fit on it, because we're all black, so we're looking for black guitarist". and i would agree it. of course. AND I DON'T CARE what i have sayed, because I know what i have sayed. I know there's a lot of dum motherfucking idiots who thinks that i'm the fuckin idiot. whatever... i don't care.

but it's a full different thing about those skinheads. what they are doing is wrong. because I think the same way as andy, if someone hasn't hurt you, don't hurt him, if he has, you have all rights to come onto him and kick him off. i don't know did andy say it just like that but it's true.
henkka

god damn it..! well I didn't know it's going to make this kind of chaos here. racist means people who can't stand other races. but i said, "it's none of my business", so that means I'm not racist. thing about these big heroes like hendrix or berry or some people like them is different. they're solo artists... and if those guys were not ever been here, rock n' roll would have been quite different. so they are big heroes, of course, and I think you just can't think about some hendrix or mötley a same time. all what i meant, WAS, that except if there was a band, like GUNS N' ROSES, and steven would have been kicked out, as he was, so would GEFFEN or axl let some black-dude play on GN'R? I think, not. Even if hes cool guy, of course black guys are as cool as white, but just a different way, I think, and nobody can say which way is better. This is just my thinking. SO THIS IS NOT RACISM. c'mon motherfuckin idiot dickheads. don't take things so god damn seriously. I don't take so don't you take. AND HEY! you're the one motherfuckers whos allways there telling that someone is shit and should die or should be shutup. I never write things like that. whatever that racism means, I still hate assholes. and those guys there are everywhere. even in a black-race. if you hate someone black, it doesn't mean you're a racist cos we are all here on same planet same shit and same assholes. i don't hate any black, not a bassist of hanoi rocks, but I quess, if some dude came over and slapped me onto face without reason, it doesn't make differents is he white or black, I would fuckin bunch him back.

Yeah I know some drummers who adore Tommy Lee just because he gets hot pussy like Pamela Anderson. Well, you can count me out of that. I don't adore that man as a drummer or as a person. I honestly believe Lacu is much better drummer than Tommy Lee. And don't you fuckers come up to me and talk about playing drums - I fucking know what I'm talking about!

What the fuck are you idiots talkin' about!?!?! Tommy Lee keeps the beat and has a groove that nor Gyp, Razzle or Lacu can beat. Lacu comes close enough but Tommy's da shit, maaaan! All credit to the Hanoi-drummers, but you don't have to behave like an idiot and ignore facts even if you are a Hanoi fan. And to put the record straight: VINCE NEIL SHOULD DIE!!! But when it comes to Tommy's drumming: keep your shit to yourself when you don't jackshit of what you're talkin' about!!!
I HATE PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW JACKSHIT ABOUT DRUMMING!!!!
Pussy, FUCKLAND - Monday, May 06, 2002 at 20:26:54 (EET DST)
Henkka - unfortunately, your comments did come across as racist, even if you didn't mean them to. Surely you agree that the most important thing for the band is getting the best person for the job, irrelevent of the colour of their skin, which I cannot believe is still an issue to some people. I think it's insulting to Andy & Michael that you are even questioning their choice, especially with the reason you give for doing so. Just chill out babe, and enjoy the fact that Hanoi Rocks are doing new stuff.

Cut the crap Henkka. It's not Hanoi Rocks' bassist you're talking about and if it was so what? Like Andy sung: If Hendrix was my father he'd be real proud. It's not a matter of the color of you skin. Timpa is their bassist and he does his job very well. And about the new drummer.. All I can say that he's much better than Gyp as a drummer. We all know Gyp is a great person but not any better than any average rock drummer. But Gyp sure beats Tommy Lee anytime.. (who doesn't:))

Whoaaa, I didn't know people like Henkka still exists... how stupid can you get? Rocknroll IS first and foremost BLACK MUSIC, you goddamn moron! Just ask Andy how much he has got influences from Chuck Berry and all of his black brothers. And you dare to say that you are not a racist, where did ya leave your brains?
