To all monroettes around the world, i have a new e-mail adress.
By the way..... religious wars and other related kinda shit sucks.
There´s only one god. And we all know who that is right
? We don´t need bibels or crosses or other shit. The only
thing we need to contact our god is a CD- player and our own
ears.

I was turned on to Michael and Hanoi Rocks about ten years ago.
I have a few of the Hanoi Rocks albums(Self Destruction Blues;
Two Steps From the Move) but, I seem to have problems finding
anymore of Hanoi's or Mike's albums(in this country at least!).
We (my friends and I)are all for the return of Mike to the states!

DST) Dear Mike I just wanted to be among the first
to wish you a very happy 36th birthday. I know I always mention
that I saw you in Toronoto in Feb, but I have to include that
because it was a dream come true. I hope you and Jude have a
wonderful celebration together. I mentioned the show I saw just
to say that I know from first experience that you're not getting
older, just better. You put on a show like you are still a teenager
with more energy than the crowd combined. I wish you all the
luck in the world and continued success in the music business.
The music indusrty still needs Mike Monroe, as does your fans.
So we hope to see a new release soon! You know that we will always
be there to support you. You are the best! Keep rockin like fuck!
And as always come back to the states soon!

Hi, mike! It has been a long time since I write you in person.
I was running your fanclub during the 80's here in Japan. It
was called "Michaek Monroe Freak" and I was still in
highschool. Now I am 31 year-old and ofcourse still listening
to you. After Hanoi( which was my life ! in my tennage years-Isaw
your gigs 6 times total in 83/84) I saw your great shows at Tokyo
Dome when you performed with other bands like Bon jovi...but
that was the last time I saw you on stage. As I have been living
here and The US(Florida, California, Vancouver, canada and Boston)
-coming back here and going there-for the last 13 years or so,
It has been hard for me to follow your tour schedule . And of
course, therehave been a lot of personal stuff to deal with!
(a big ethnic/cultural identity issue, some pretty heinous relationships,
career options etcetc!) However, the bottomline is Ijust simply
love rockn'roll and it has always been you and your music that
is probably closest to what I feel inside.. I know you are Finn
and a male and not at like me- Japanese, female and a college
instructor( I currently teach American literature at several
colleges in Tokyo) ..but Rockn'roll can overcome all these differences
! I listen to your music (from Hanoi to PEACE of MIND) and realize
how much your music has encouraged me and assured me that I can
go my own way. I never wanted to and never will fit into a typical
image of a Japanese woman who is submissive and have nothing
to say and be so obedient to her husband ...etc ... Julst like
you! I want to stick to my own belief! Well, this is just to
let you know that some girl who was running Michael Monroe Freak
over a decade ago is still here and kicking hopeing to get to
see you here in Japan (or in the US or in Europe!) sooon. I saw
you being interviewed on Finnish TV program on video I got here.
I happen to have a Finish friend, Teija wo transtaled the whole
interview for me . It was cool! You looked so good ,too(as alway!!)
Love, Madoka

Hi everybody ! Demolition 23 is one of the best records of the
'90s... Piece of mind is great too ! Micheal's guitar playing
is better than ever ! To Jude: Living in Italy means it's hard
to get Micheal solo stuff... but it's better this way. I mean
I don't want to see Micheal records on some fuckin' major label
!! Hanoi and micheal best stuff came out on small labels. So
I think real fans will agree with me ! by the way... ... NEVER
COMPROMISE.

will you be coming to Nottingham again? If so when? Me and some

DST) I had a band in the late '80's called "Mister
Hyde". We were huge fans of vintage glam, goth and punk
and were one of the only authentic SF bands at the time. Hanoi
was a huge influence on us, along with the Dolls and the Lords.
In fact, we got to open for Johnny Thunders in 1989 and met Stiv
several times. MM is a true rock'n'roll icon and must be upheld
for being an energizing presence in the genre. Before Mike and
Hanoi, the music scene was largely dead and boring. I'm sure
he was unaware of the legacy to follow after the band's demise.
Just look at LA, NY ans SF in the 1980's.. There will always
we second and third class immitators who ultimately bastardize
the scene, but Mike is A legend who continues to forge ahead
without comprimise.. JIM HYDE

Hi Mike and Jude! Greetings to you both from an early bird at
work. I just need to tell you that I've finally found out what
makes you, Mike, and probably you, too, Jude, so special: you
have found your own ways through life, not following anyone else's
model. That is what makes the world interesting and what makes
people like you so special! Yeah, Mike, I think I've found out
your secret: you are you, no-one else! I wish more people dared
to be themselves - this world would be such an interesting place!
Keep doing whatever you feel is best for you - I'll keep doing
what I feel is best for me, and hopefully more and more people
join this club. :-)Cheers, Tupsa
