Richie, it's not a question of needing. It's a question of artists
wanting to make the disc. That's why it's called a tribute. Since
it's a disc that the musicians want to make without any regard
to potential sales, I think it's got more integrity than most
"originals" out there. If someone wants to buy it,
fine... if not, well that's fine too.

Who needs any tribute versions when you got the great originals?
Ritchie

Thunders guitar strap? Who got it? Just wondrin' since I had
absolutely no chance to make a bid for it. Assuming it's the
one JT has on on the cover of the spanish 7" Born To Lose/It's
Not Enough , it's a beauty. Whoever got it should regard himself
one lucky sonofabitch. Hey, you cherish and value it now, you
hear? Only wish I'd had the dough... fuck it. Feel so sorry for
Michael having been forced to sell the strap. He really shouldn't
be in a situation like that, never.

Kiitoksia loistavasta ja energisestä showsta. Lisää
vaan samanlaisia. Oli hienoa päästä lopussa itsekin
lavalle esiintymään. Olis hienoa, jos olisi mahdollista
nähdä samanlaisia keikkoja Lahdenkin suunnalla. Ei
muuta kun dead, jail or rock and roll...

I'm a sad sad boy after hearing about that gig in Tavastia..
I just wish I could have been there. Thank god I got the Peace
Of Mind -album with the bonus tracks in the mail yesterday. It
makes the pain a bit easier to handle... Thanks Make!

OK, OK...OK (as Leo Getz might say), I've sort of recovered from
thursday, so here goes another stab at explaining the feelings
the gig gave me: Usually, high expectations will only lead to
disappointment. I don't know what the fuck happened thursday
nite at Tavastia, but that show was THE best concert I've ever
witnessed (and that includes among others the first MM show I
saw, MM playing at MY festival, playing WITH Michael and a VERY
long list of BIG names whose concerts I've seen over the years).
I just sincerely hope that the YLE crew does a good job in producing
the TV broadcast, everything else sure as hell was allright,
there wasn't a dysfunctional moment in sight ;-) ROCK LIKE FUCK!!!!

(EET) Whatta gig!!!!!! The gig was filmed by a
TV-crew and it will be broadcasted by YLE (The Finnish State
TV-company) in the autumn. Imagine that (wonderful) day in the
atutumn when You adjust your TV-set ((especially the volume control))
to the sweet, sweet sound of rock´n´roll (a sample
from Cheyenne.......) and enjoy the spectacular live performance
of Michael on your TV. It so strange, i´ve had the pleasure
of seeing Hanoi live 5 times and Michael (solo) at least 10 times
and Michael always manages to surprise me with his performance
on stage. When You see him on stage it seems like Michael is
growing younger year by year! He´s so energetic!!! Thank
You Michael for a wonderful gig!!!!!! All the best to all Michael/Hanoi
fans out there!!! Andy Nastolin

(EET) Hello to Michael and all of his fans, I
just wanted to share some old and new info. that I just dicovered.
If you guys would like to hear some different versions of "Kick
Out The Jams" check out Elektra Redords anniversarry special
entitled "Rubiat" - a band called "The Big F"
covers it and also the new American soundtrack to the movie "Varsity
Blues" feature Monster Magnet covering it. I think they
are both very cool so check them out! Peace!

Q: What made you want to do the song "1970" for this
tribute? A: Brandon and I were into a band called Hanoi Rocks--that's
how we met and put together a band called The Used before Superdrag.
The reason we got together was because of Hanoi Rocks and they
used to play "1970" live on a videotape we had. i.e.

So I just read the answers to my questions to Michael in the
"Responses" section. All of them answered in full.
I've just gotta say : Wow! It takes a guy really dedicated to
his fans and supporters to do that! Especially answering the
question about a Hanoi Rocks reunion something like 80 times!
That's dedication for ya! Do U think Metallica would bother?
What about Pearl Jam or any of the other jerk-offs we call "Rock
Stars" these days. Thank god SOMEONE knows the value of
his fans - and now I'm even more of a Michael Monroe fan than
I was before.

Hei tosi siistii, julkaisemattomia biisejä! Ja vielä
sairaan hyviä! No okei, Lights Outin perusrock-veivausriffi
kuulostaa hiukan hassulta (vitsi?) mutta muuten. Downwardly Mobilen
kertosäe "Can´t have your cake and eat it too"
kuulostaa kumman tutulta... Onko se Steve Stevensin tekemä?
Sillä selittyisi se, miksi sama löytyy Vince Neilin
levyltä Exposed, missä Steve soittaa. Kiintoisaa. Jee.
The World is watching toimii hyvin instrumentaalinakin. Mä
en kyllä tajuu miks Michael ei ite diggaile Jerusalem Slimin
levystä, musta se on ihan törkeen hyvä. Mutta
