Terve Nancy!

kuka tää him fani on? him on ihan paska. ei mikää ihme

Does that mean that is no longer no chance to stop Bush from attacking Iraq? Funny story with Jack White:). I had the impression of him being a decent guy, so your story surprises me somewhat. But on the other hand, I consider myself pretty decent and I have done similar things myself several times. Oh, actually not. I have never drunk that much when I have had some kind of commitment.

I was very very pleasantly surprised to see Whatcha Want at record shops in London yesterday! Didn't think it would reach us so fast, but yes it's here and we shall hear it at the clubs this weekend! I'll make sure of it. So everyone pop into Decadence or somewhere else rockin to have a little dance ala Monroe. Oh, what I would give for a Whatcha-tour!!! It would be a shame not to see these songs live.. But in any case I LOVE THE ALBUM. Once again it inspired me and cheered me up a lot. Made my heart happy. :)
THANK YOU MICHAEL FOR THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And all my friends in Finland, I'll see you next week when I come to visit, yay..

mooney suzuki has played here a few times. once they were supposed to play with manplanet. i was there, but they didn't show up! i met jack white at the same club doll played at. a bnad from detroit called the go was playing, and he was pretty much partying with them. he was supposed to play bass, but he was SO wasted someone in the audience played instead! i was pretty wasted too so when we were chatting i didn't even realize it was him. it was over 2 weeks later that it all came together. we were 2 pathetic drunks (him worse than i!) discussing detroit, the trash brats, and whether or not he should get another shot. i told him no, but he got one anyway.:) good times! my brother is off to war next monday, i am too sad. bullshit!!!!! sorry.

Actually I thought that it could be you, but I wasn't sure so I decided better to assume it wasn't. I absolutely love White stripes. The reason I didn't mention them was that you can't compare them with DOLL. In my opinion White Stripes probably is the best american band existing right now, even better than Strokes and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. I have heard that the New York band Mooney Suzuki are killers, but I haven't been able to find their CD. Anyone heard them? Are they good? I better write some line about Michael as well. It is his guestbook after all. He must be the only one who can climb the stage wearing pink boots and cope with it.

the white stripes are such a good band, definately check them out! oh my god i love division of laura lee, they tore it up last night! they were really nice too. they seemed amazed that i could speak a lttle bit of swedish, jonas especially (he's very cute as well ladies;). we talked about sweden during ww2 and other interesting things. i can't find their cd in the stores now. grrrr! i've never met michael, but he was nice enough to send me an autographed 8x10 (the cover of life gets you dirty) about 2 years ago. funny you should mention skid row hanoifan, i was a big fan when i was young. jesus christ superstar is about to open here in minneapolis and sebastian bach is playing jesus!!! could that be any better? i have to go to it. oh, i'm 25. why do you ask?:)

What white stripes of Detroit are you talking about Missi? I don't have a clue. Did you like Michael's latest solo album? Have you met Michael in person? How old are you? Do you remember Skid Row (early Skid Row)? What do you think about their song "18 and Life"? I still love it.

"Whatcha Want" is a brilliant album! It's hard to single out the best songs (well, perhaps "Do anything you wanna do", "Stranded", "Life's a bitch ...", "Hey, that's no way...", and the list goes on :) as the whole album is masterpiece. I've listened to it now perhaps 10 times and each time it sounds better. I really can't say if it's the best Monroe-album, as I think Michael's every album is a star in it's own right - just like this album.

To me: Yes, you should. Division of Laura Lee is one of the most interesting and skillful new hard-rocking bands from Sweden. I would say they are kindred spirits to the new Detroit-scene (Soledad brothers, Von Bondies). It struck me that they remind me very much of the Union Carbide Productions, if anyone remembers them. They are also told to be a good live act, even though I haven't had the opportunity to experience that myself.
To Missi: I agree with you as to the album. I haven't heard the solo album either.

In the eighties I didn't pay much attention to Hanoi Rocks. I heard they were big but I never really heard them on the radio - I had only seen the video of that CCR cover song and I didn't like it. Well, that's not a surprise - I just don't like that song in general no matter who plays it. Michael and Andy seemed like a bunch of wackos to me and I was wondering what the hell is their message and why do they dress like that. Something has changed. I have become more and more interested in Hanoi Rocks and Michael Monroe. I find myself visiting this website ever more often. I have learned that Michael is a rare kind of person. He's very kind and he's got a good head on his shoulders. I have got some Hanoi music and I was really surprised to hear how good they actually are! So... it's good to be a Hanoi Rocks and Michael Monroe fan!

"You cant put your arms around a memory", there’s no need to!
I saw Michael and the guys in 1980 at Woods Leisure Centre in Colchester, Essex in England. I was 13 and he blew me away.
I saw him at odd times up until the Johnny Thunders tribute gig at the Camden Underworld about 6 or 7 years ago.
Then I saw them advertised towards the end of 2002 at the Rock City in Nottingham. What can I say? They've still got it. I left the gig and couldn’t speak for half an hour because of the emotion. Fantastic, Mike and the lads still rock and move me in a way that no other band has (or ever will do I suspect!)

I heard the new Monroe album "Whatcha want " yesterday at a friends place. It sure kicks ass , I can tell ya that...All though it's a bit softer songs on it compared to the new Hanoi - album...But it's awsome in it's own way !

"what love is" will be in the new michael monroe album, so fuckin cool. dead boys was one of the best bands ever, you never get bored of listening their music. but what is this talk about hanois record selling 7 - 30 million!!?? what the fuck... if somebody says something like that, i would say he don't know a shit about record selling. if hanois five or six albums has had sold that many, then "two steps from the move" should have been number one in every country of the world. I've heard that HIM has sold about 1,6 - 2 million records, but that's nothing because 90% of that is sold in Germany. It just doesn't mean a shit if they had sold 10 million copies, if they're not well-known in any other countries in world. Flaming Sideburns is now only good finnish band (of course hanoi is) but just thinkin about some HIM, it sucks... Flaming Sideburns is much more famous in the world, they hadn't sell that many records but they can do succesfull world tour when ever they want. that is really something.

Ah , soon Mike's new album will be released! It's so damn cool that he have chosen to do some Dead Boys coverz among many other cool coversongs =) The only thing that I find kinda funny is that the song "Whatcha want´" isn't on the album... =D
Well , rock on ! (Forgive some possible spelling misstakes)
And yeah...The new Hanoi - album still spinns around in my player...
