GUESTBOOK OF JANUARY 1998

I just got a computer and have found this beautiful site! I'm so excited to hear others who've been obsessed with Mike Monroe for all these years. My dreams came true when I drove 12 hours to New York to catch one of the monday night shows at the Grand. I got to see the greatest show I will ever see and even got to meet Michael backstage. It was so amazing I barely remember the 12 hour drive back home to Virginia. I'm equally excited about how many people have visited this site in the small amount of time it's been up. I can't think of too many performers with such a loyal audience. Thanks Michael!

Matti, yritä tulla Nivalaan keikalle joku päivä. Kuten edellisissä kommenteissa on mainittu, sulla ei kusi nouse päähän vaikka mitä tapahtuisi.

This is one of the most beautiful website I have ever seen! Great job! I just saw Michael in Toronto when he was a guest DJ at a club here. He also played a short acoustic set which was FANTASTIC! I talked to him briefly afterwards, and he was so sweet and friendly, and down to earth. He is the King of Everything! :-)

Hiyya folks! This website must have a magnetic field directed right towards me! And, judging by the counter and these guestbook signatures, towards a lot of other people, too. At least once a week, before closing the PC after work, KABOOM it hits me that I need to take a quick look... which ends up being something closer to one hour. ;-) I try to AVOID checking every day if something new has appeared! It's an addiction, but a healthy one, right? I just listened to all the Wav pieces again, just to end my day at work the best way I could think of. Soon I'm getting a bigger tube, but the loudspeakers will be gone with this one, so I'm enjoying it as long as I can! Markku, sorry for not including my e-mail address. I'll need to check out what the company policy is! They just threatened us with some kind of "big brother is watching you" stuff. So thanks for mentioning me in the News & Updates! Kinda makes me feel special, yeahhhhh! BTW my last name has 2 x u, so I guess I'm not related to the writer Timo K. Mukka, though it would be nice! ;-) I write a lot too, so... It says on the top of this screen that any comments are welcome, so: I think it's great to read this guestbook and see that I'm not the only one who's gone more or less crazy because of Mike's music and performance. And since so many people have already said that Mike rules, I won't say it. No. Definitely not. Because we all know it, eh? I know it, although I'm a new fan of Mike going solo. Yeah, Mike goes all the way with the acrobatics, and still sings well. Not all people can do that!!! Nor the other juggler stuff that made his gig (the only solo gig I've seen) a special one. It's always nice to see someone put 110 % energy to the performance! Still out in the space when thinking about the gig... Tuula

I am so glad to see a web site like this!! I have been a loyal Hanoi fan for 14 years now and will be forever!! Michael has one of the best voices I have ever heard, and can only hope that someday you will come back to the states and play Las Vegas. I luv ya Mikey but my heart belongs to Razzle! I firmly belive that the band would have gone far if Vince wouldn't have ruined everything!! He managed to ruin the lives of so many people by taking away the best drummer of all time. Razzle forever!!! If anyone wants to chat about hanoi (especially Razzle) Please email me. Also if anyone has anything of his or pictures of him please email me I will buy anything!!!!!!!

Mike...you're the best...what can I say? I know.. get your butt over here to Canada!! We miss you! As far as I know, you last played here on Nov 30, 1984. A gig with the Legendary Hanoi Rocks at the El Mocombo. Anyway, I guess you are tired of being told you are great. I just want to meet you just to say I can die a happy man. I have you stuff. and may I say , living in Canada, your stuff is not cheap, as most of it is imported. Hey you're worth it. I hope you make here to Toronto, and I will definitely be at the Phoenix. Peace Mike, and I think Peace of Mind is great, best Hanoi related music since Demolition 23!!! Peace and all the best!! Don't you think it's amazing , how I even function in this world...

I just want to say that the world lost a great band when Hanoi ceased. I believe in my heart that they would have gone far, fast. If there is one thing I know, its that Razzle will live forever in our hearts! I'm very glad that Michael has kept recording so that the world can be filled with his beautiful voice!! All of the members are such talented musicians..I wish the best to them all and to all of the Michael and Hanoi fans out there!!! P.S. I REALLY REALLY hope that one day, Michael will play the States again so that I would have th honor of seeing him in concert!!! And....if anyone knows anything about Sam...please email me..I'm dying to know what he's up to!!!

GREAT SITE ! I have been a Hanoi/M.Monroe-fan since 1982.I have been folowing him since them,I`m sorry that I was only able to catch Hanoi live only once back in 1984 in Stockholm. I saw DEMOLITION 23 playing live in Stockholm at Gino Club for a couple of years ago at a sold-out gig, what a great live performer Michael is,one of the hardest working artist I have ever seen,a mixture of Mick Jagger,Steven Tyler and Bruce Lee(I mean his kickin` and acrobatics). Hey guys keep up the good work,I hope Michael will soon release some great stuff and do a world tour,I feel sorry about you fans in the States because it must be a hard time for you to get hold of all this great music. I salute for you. Regards Pete

I sent another message to go to Michael For a former bandmate of his. Just make Michael understand that I appreciate his music both in Hanoi Rocks as well as in his solo career. It is just that I knew one of his former bandmates from the band he was in prior to joining Michael on tour. Please let Michael know that this request isn't meant to offend or make him feel less. I hold him in as high a regard as any band out there today. Thank you. Banana

Hi everybody, it's me again! Second day in a row that I click around these pages: addiction? Is this serious? =:-Q There seem to bee lots and lots of interesting links - and pictures! Thank you, Markku, for the great work! As for the wishing list, how about scanning some (praising, of course) newspaper articles on Mike over the years? Or album reviews? And more pictures, please... if not for any other reason, the wardrobe! ;-) Great that you managed to put this together for Mike. As somebody said, it was about time!

Gee, great to find this guestbook!!! My first memory of Mike is from a Hanoi gig from ... maybe early '80s? Anyway, I had never seen such an energetic performance! Then I lost contact with Hanoi and Mike stuff for ten years (ridiculous, but that's what happened) until a friend of mine told me that Mike would be playing in Tavastia (Helsinki, Finland) on Dec. 17th (97), and off to the ticket office I go... I had never heard anything about Mike's solo career, but a few days before the concert I opened the Hanoi web site for the first time - and boy did I learn a few things! So I went to the concert with great expectations, and was more than satisfied! Someone said something negative about the band, but I must admit that Mike's performance kept my eyes in him, so the band got too little attention from me. :-) Mike, you just let things RRRRRock, or is it you that rocks? Who cares, it was grrreat! And yes, in a couple of days I managed to get all Mike CDs (except Jerusalem, althoug it was available). You need not guess what I've been listening to since, and a bit of Hanoi stuff as well, just for old time's sake. Mike, if you ever read these pages, I wanna send a big THANK YOU for the concert in Tavastia Dec 17th, wish you and Jude a very happy new year '98 and also send a teeny weeny wish that you will soon perform again, so I can sing along better...

Hey what's up everybody? I'm really glad to have found this site. I've had the opportunity to meet Michael and I think he is a great guy who is not all hung up on himself. He believes in is music and will not go with the trend, he should be the one selling a million records, instead of people like Pearl Jam and that shit. Well take it easy and hope to see you on tour soon.

Great to see a Michael Monroe site at last, and a cool one at that. Of the original trinity of Johnny Thunders/ Stiv Bators/ Michael Monroe, Michael's the only one left , so keep that rock and roll flame burning, and hope to see you in London in 1998 for some live dates. It's been too long!
