Mike sinulle tahdon toivottaa Jumalan siunausta. LOVELLA VALON LAPSI RAMONA,VANTAA

What's wrong in commersialism in music industry? If a lot of people want to buy some kind of a music, well, who cares? If somebody wants to sell music to the masses, then the music has to be commercial, because commersialism means that many people want to buy. Ain't I clever? A tip for a good rock'n'roll band: Black Crowes.

I got home last night to find that Peace of Mind had finally arrived. Let me just say that it was not at all what I was expecting, it seemed to be an extremely personal album that I almost felt guilty listening to. It was great, and even my friend who has never cared for Michael before really enjoyed it. I sat down and listened to some early Hanoi and then went back to this one, and you can really hear and appreciate the progression, the changes both lyrically and in the arrangements. It is a great album. Kudos to Michael and Jude.

I was very suprised some time ago when I hear Michaels comments about his latest record deal with Poko. He had artistical freedom even though his music is not very commercial at all. It crazy to think that a small budget record company could sell this kind of music world wide. Michael claimed that no-one even knew that his album came out. Well the biggest selling Finnish Rock artists are on the same record company. When record came out Michael said that the first single would be "Peace of mind" - come on for a christ sake. No-one would ever play a song like that on a radio. Well, now Mike has no record deal because "He has not sold himself". I'll give a free advice. Release an album "Monroe & McCoy" an make some money. Or I am afraid Michael's solo career doesn't look very brigt. Peace and Love.

Michael Monroe has been my greatest inspiration as a teenager and now I still think he is the best frontman of Rock and Roll history. So many lovely memories listening Hanoi and Michael´s solo albums. But anyway, "I live in the present and the past does not exist". The best album will be the next. Be sure! Thanks for the trip.

Richie, it's not a question of needing. It's a question of artists wanting to make the disc. That's why it's called a tribute. Since it's a disc that the musicians want to make without any regard to potential sales, I think it's got more integrity than most "originals" out there. If someone wants to buy it, fine... if not, well that's fine too.

Johnny Thunders guitar strap? Who got it? Just wondrin' since I had absolutely no chance to make a bid for it. Assuming it's the one JT has on on the cover of the spanish 7" Born To Lose/It's Not Enough , it's a beauty. Whoever got it should regard himself one lucky sonofabitch. Hey, you cherish and value it now, you hear? Only wish I'd had the dough... fuck it. Feel so sorry for Michael having been forced to sell the strap. He really shouldn't be in a situation like that, never.

OK, OK...OK (as Leo Getz might say), I've sort of recovered from thursday, so here goes another stab at explaining the feelings the gig gave me: Usually, high expectations will only lead to disappointment. I don't know what the fuck happened thursday nite at Tavastia, but that show was THE best concert I've ever witnessed (and that includes among others the first MM show I saw, MM playing at MY festival, playing WITH Michael and a VERY long list of BIG names whose concerts I've seen over the years). I just sincerely hope that the YLE crew does a good job in producing the TV broadcast, everything else sure as hell was allright, there wasn't a dysfunctional moment in sight ;-) ROCK LIKE FUCK!!!!

Whatta gig!!!!!! The gig was filmed by a TV-crew and it will be broadcasted by YLE (The Finnish State TV-company) in the autumn. Imagine that (wonderful) day in the atutumn when You adjust your TV-set ((especially the volume control)) to the sweet, sweet sound of rock´n´roll (a sample from Cheyenne.......) and enjoy the spectacular live performance of Michael on your TV. It so strange, i´ve had the pleasure of seeing Hanoi live 5 times and Michael (solo) at least 10 times and Michael always manages to surprise me with his performance on stage. When You see him on stage it seems like Michael is growing younger year by year! He´s so energetic!!! Thank You Michael for a wonderful gig!!!!!! All the best to all Michael/Hanoi fans out there!!! Hello to Michael and all of his fans, I just wanted to share some old and new info. that I just dicovered. If you guys would like to hear some different versions of "Kick Out The Jams" check out Elektra Redords anniversarry special entitled "Rubiat" - a band called "The Big F" covers it and also the new American soundtrack to the movie "Varsity Blues" feature Monster Magnet covering it. I think they are both very cool so check them out! Peace!

Q: What made you want to do the song "1970" for this tribute? A: Brandon and I were into a band called Hanoi Rocks--that's how we met and put together a band called The Used before Superdrag. The reason we got together was because of Hanoi Rocks and they used to play "1970" live on a videotape we had. i.e. Hanoi Rocks as a source of inspiration at http://www.latimes.com/HOME/ENT/MUSIC/iggy3.htm

I saw one of the Not Fakin' It shows in L.A. and it was one the most amazing (and fun) concerts I've ever seen. I look forward to seeing you again soon... Take care Michael, and best of luck in the new year.

So I just read the answers to my questions to Michael in the "Responses" section. All of them answered in full. I've just gotta say : Wow! It takes a guy really dedicated to his fans and supporters to do that! Especially answering the question about a Hanoi Rocks reunion something like 80 times! That's dedication for ya! Do U think Metallica would bother? What about Pearl Jam or any of the other jerk-offs we call "Rock Stars" these days. Thank god SOMEONE knows the value of his fans - and now I'm even more of a Michael Monroe fan than I was before.

hell-oh! i think the j.s.demos roxx! for sure! i am a guitarplayer in a sleaze-glam-rock-band (gutter queens) and appreciate that this kind of music is still around, even though the demo-cd is a few years old. but it's the same with fine red wine (or swiss cheese! ha ha!!) - the older it is, the better it gets. don't give up on rock'n'roll! there are still some groovers left who really care about the real thing in rock! kisses and lipstick traces. xxx zygi the wild one xxx

Hei tosi siistii, julkaisemattomia biisejä! Ja vielä sairaan hyviä! No okei, Lights Outin perusrock-veivausriffi kuulostaa hiukan hassulta (vitsi?) mutta muuten. Downwardly Mobilen kertosäe "Can´t have your cake and eat it too" kuulostaa kumman tutulta... Onko se Steve Stevensin tekemä? Sillä selittyisi se, miksi sama löytyy Vince Neilin levyltä Exposed, missä Steve soittaa. Kiintoisaa. Jee. The World is watching toimii hyvin instrumentaalinakin. Mä en kyllä tajuu miks Michael ei ite diggaile Jerusalem Slimin levystä, musta se on ihan törkeen hyvä. Mutta hei, gotta go, ROCK ON MICHAEL! Kiitos nimmareista! Tapasimme Vanhalla.
