keikalta ("Lutakossa"). Tulin pyytämään

Ne muut Suomalaiset juntit siinä ohjelmassa vaan tuntu olevan
ihan ulkona siinä vaiheessa, kun pistit vähän
rock n' rollia peliin. =) Harmi vaan että jouduit esiintymään
playbackinä. Tuuhan pian takas tänne pääkaupunkiseudulle
ja heitä mahd. paljon ikärajattomia keikkojan. Ottaa

sound like Cheap Trick, Queen, and Styx. We want to open up for
you in Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Denton. I could set the shows up
and you could just play. Denton has a great rock scene and Dallas

at some pizza place and asked you to come play Dallas. Nikki

Thanks a million for "Life gets you dirty"!!! I can't
believe you play so many of the instruments yourself plus that

I could list almost all of the songs and say that I can relate
to the lyrics, so thanks for them, too, not just the blasting
music, the ingenius arrangements, the clever effects (end of
Go hard, wow!), and the dedication to pure r&r. I've got
all your solo CD's - got them in the nick of time before they
were sold out a couple of years ago, at least in Helsinki, Finland
- and I mean from "Nights are so long" onwards. Someone
here asked for copies, but wouldn't it be nicer if you could
have a proper CD? How possible is it to have a few more of the
old ones printed & e.g. sold at gigs? I wouldn't like to copy
a not-up-to-the-standard-thing, not to mention taking financial
benefit for it. Damn, Mike makes the music, he should get paid.
Markku: Why did you stop the questions and answers pages? As
a punishment, you'll get an even longer piece of text from me
in a wrong place (good joke?). I have a few questions, so I'll
just put them here: 1. Mike, when you do the stage show, you
do more acrobatic things than anyone else I know, i.e. more often
& more of them. ;) It always makes me wonder how you, say, roll
the microphone around your neck and then grab it the last second
before you're supposed to start singing again; and there is just
enough wire left! I mean, do you practise at home, or does it
come to you naturally? Surely you at least measure the amount
of wire (e.g. "an arm's lenght")? 2. How long have
you been doing this kind of a stage act? I rembember a Hanoi
gig from early 80's but can't remember you doing quite such a
variety of things. You did climb on top of the loudspeakers,
then jumped down and ran to the other end of the stage and what
else... I was about 18 and my memory is beginning to fail me,
but I can remember I was in awe: my mom would never have had
me do anything of the sort! ;) 3. Again: are you a natural talent
or have you practised a special technique so you can sing while
you are "on your back", or, should I say, supported
only by your feet & neck? I simply can't imagine singing in a
position like that!!! After singing in rock groups for about
10 years I should know if it's even possbile, and obviously it
is, but not for me! Which is good, too, cause then us fans can
always call your stage act awesome, and nobody can deny that.
4. How do fans get to meet you & Jude? Can we just go backstage
after a gig, and how do we know which is THE door? I read someplace
that you don't like fans hanging around before the gig, but maybe
after? If so, is it annoying if I wear my "Life gets you
dirty" T-shirt, and you would have to look at an image of
yourself... isn't it a bit bizarre...? Anyways, be sure I'll
be there again at Tavastia. See all you other people who would
always die for an MM show!

Mike, I am currently 29 but I have been a full-blown fan of you
and your work since I was about 16. I have always appreciated
musicians, such as yourself, that take an interest not only in
the art of writing good music but the art of style. I always
thought you looked cool. In fact, my first band in high school
was heavily influenced by the Hanoi Rocks look and sound. Anyway,
I am in law school now so not much time for music, although I
still dabble as a hobby. I am flying to Europe for the first
time this summer. I think I will arrive sometime during mid-June
in the Netherlands. I was thinking of getting a eurail pass and
taking the train to Denmark and Finland. I would love to see
you perform. Do you think you will be doing any shows then? Let
me know if you do and if you have any great suggestions for sights

Michael is, by far, the most brilliant performer I have ever
known. His talent is endless- his music legendary and he is the
most wonderful person I have ever been fortunate enough to meet.
After winning the "Not Fakin' It In Japan" contest
on MTV in 1990- I cannot ever recall a better time in my life
than the week I spent watching Michael perform. He, Jude & the
rest of the band were so gracious and extended their hospitality
for me to see several shows (I was only supposed to see one concert,
yet Michael & the band invited me to see a few more in Kawasaki)
I did not want to be in the way or tag along, yet they insisted
I come with them. (This was unreal to me- I'd been a Hanoi Rocks
fan from the first time I had ever seen the video for "Up
Around the Bend" and the night they were on MTV giving the
VJ a very difficult time, which was highly amusing!) Everyone
went out of their way to make me feel so welcome & I was truly
in heaven because Michael has and ALWAYS will be my most beloved
performer. There is no one in this world who is as REAL as Michael
is and I admire his strength and his talent- how he has perservered.
He has never sold out, nor has he gone along with whatever is
the current trend. Hanoi Rocks started the glam scene, yet no
one has ever given them any credit for this. And Michael has
never been given the credit he is long overdue for all of his
talent & accomplishments. There has never been a single day that
goes by without me thinking about Michael & hoping he is happy
& well and successful, because I can't think of anyone else who
deserves this more than he does. As I said to Michael before,
"Without Michael Monroe & Hanoi Rocks, there would be no
rock n roll." Thank you always Michael- I hope someday you
will be back in the States so I can see you again and we can

I've lived 1 hour from NYC and never realized you were playing
regularly at the clubs.Now after trying to find information on
the web about you since as far as the stores around here you've
dropped off the face of the earth after your Not faking it albulm,Im
glad after searching mtv and vh1 links I finally found your web
site through Little Stevens site. Please email any info regaurding
tour dates or album releases through your web site because your
albums now through imports are going between 30-40 dollars each.Glad
