Puh, back to life after some heavy days seeing relatives. Wow, the delivery time was impressingly short. I hope you like it. My sister's new boyfriend told me about his year as exchange student in Minnesota. If what he told me was correct, you're having cold days now!

Fuck yeah, I think there should have been someone outside the innner circle with strong opinions, arrangment help etc. in the making of the latest album. Two steps album was a big budget band album made with the help from Ezrin... I mean the expectations were too high. Twelve shots is pretty much a collection of solo songs and it should have been released as Monroe & McCoy (the veins behind Hanoi Rocks) with great back cover photo in front, but hey it´s also a new start. Be lucky! If you are intrested what Bob Ezrin is doing right now: www.janesaddiction.com/tabloid there´s a very interesting comeback album coming from one of my other favourite bands. I think Perry Farrell and Andy should meet, if they havent.

I think Michael is probably the only guy that can get away wearing a hat like that without looking ridiculous. I don't think it looks uncool at all. But if ie. my father would wear a hat like that when he goes to a supermarket people might laugh, but it suits Michael and his style perfectly... Hope everyone had a nice Christmas and will have a great New Years as well! Love&Light

I have been a hanoi fan for a long time. I have only seen Mr. Monroe one time. I saw him at the Cabert Metro on the Dead Jail or rock n'roll tour. It was one of my top three rock moments. Slash showed up and played with him. After the show I was lucky enough to get an autograph and a picture. I have the picture sitting on my desk at work. I hope someday that Mr. Monroe reads this and knows that he made a huge difference, in one rockers life. I hope that the rumor I heard that Hanoi and the Dogs D'amour would be touring the states comes true.

I want to be a hippi, Just like back in the sixties, Grow my hair long, And take my LSD. I have a pair of dungarees. Faded patched, I move in ease. When I wear my jeans, It's sure my ass will freeze. I move from town to town, Never wanting to settle down. And when I get tired of moving, A sit and goof on men that frown. When my kids are born, They will grow their hair long. I will teach them to be free, And maybe they will learn my song

New Hanoi Rocks sounds very much like Michaels solo albums. Lyrics might be done different way but you know what I mean, it sounds the same way. But it's not a bad thing, not at all. The sound of old Hanoi maybe has come to some kind of "cult" and will be remembered allways as a old Hanoi Rocks. New things are allways new things, that's the way they has to be.

Christ, some people can be such grade A creeps. So I mistook what might or might not have been a joke and you have to come on like high school bitches because I stuck up for Michael, thinking he was being given a hard time. If that makes me sad, you're no better jumping in picking on people. Quite honestly tho, whatever a guy who can't even be bothered to spell a 3 letter word correctly thinks of me isn't worth bothering with. As for Balance, it's my nickname because of my sports-hobby, nothing to do with anything else.

To Londra and Jamie below. I think it's more of a Los Angeles plastic surgery thing then a general Califonria issue. I find that we have a lasik new york issue here. We have quite a few laser eye surgery new york converts. It's like people are afraid to wear glasses anymore. Oh well I love my fellow New Yorkers with or without glasses. Maybe you two should move to New York! speaking of moving do you know a good immigration attorney . Either I need to improve vocabulary or increase vocabulary because I can't communicate with my US immigration lawyer .

Rob, guess that copy of Win Friends & Influence People was on loan from the library? Why would you want to be name-calling Michael and Andy over this issue? Do you really think they *don't* want to tour the US? Of course they do, Michael's said it often enough. Wise up, tours take time and money to arrange. Loads of countries are keen to see Hanoi and they're working their way round to them. Give the guys a chance.

I followed your solo careers (by each member of the original line-up), and it's a real and great pleasure to listen to the best Rock'n'Roll album of the year. I'm looking forward to hear your new solo project 'Whatcha want' My wish is to see you LIVE with Hanoi or maybe on your solo tour (I was so disappointed to not being able to see you in Cannes in the beginning of this year) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you guys...

The spelling is accurate! Medicos would probably put a A before the first E, but in regular american english it is absolutely correct to spell it the way you did. Smart ass I am, right? Hey, I should know, I am into that business now. I went to a great show on saturday, Uffe Lundell. He played for 4 1/2 hours and kicked ass all of the time. I can't believe how he manages it. He is 53 after all. I was totally done up myself, by just sitting watching him. The CD will come, but don't expect it by X-mas. I haven't even bought it yet.

What to talk about GNR? Everybody knows now that GNR is DEAD! No promoter will _EVER_ arrange a tour again as long as Axl is in the band. That's a fact. Lawyers have a lot of work to do with this one..
GNR is DEAD, so forget it..

hey hanoi is hanoi and what they do is great music, but it still it's a bit pointless to fuck about gnr or any band else.

To Londra below (it is a down to earth site), I couldn’t agree more. I work in Los Angeles and there is a plastic surgeon in our building. In my office alone I know people who have had liposuction a tummy tuck and a face lift . I also know a lasik surgeon who tries to convince everyone he meets to throw out their glasses and get lasik and laser vision correction . People are so vain. Anyhow, let’s respect this guest book and commiserate about living in LA offline. Email me at jamieyellowfeather@hotmail.com.

IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE GNR IS DEAD!!!! MICHAEL MONROE AND HANOI - YOU ARE THE ONLY REAL ROCK'N'ROLL BAND ON THIS PLANET NOW!!!! HANOI ROCKS WORLD DOMINATION!!!! " BY GEOFF BOUCHER LOS ANGELES TIMES HOLLYWOOD -- The uncertain saga of the Guns N' Roses tour took another twist this week as six upcoming shows were canceled, including stops in San Jose and Sacramento, Calif., and Wednesday night's scheduled performance in Greenville, S.C. A spokesman for Clear Channel, the promoter for the tour, said there was no new information about other dates. Still, there is reason to doubt that Axl Rose and company will appear onstage any time soon. The band has missed three shows in the past five days, including a last-minute cancellation in Philadelphia last Friday that inspired unruly fans to throw seats and bottles onstage. MTV has reported that the tour is off, and Cky, an opening act on the tour, posted a message on its Web site saying the same thing. On Tuesday, the entire tour itinerary was pulled from the Web site of Pollstar, the concert-industry trade publication. "We took it down because, personally, I think the whole tour is history," said Gary Bongiovanni, editor in chief of Pollstar. "I think the lawyers are taking care of the details now and soon they will announce it."

More news about the unprofessional attitude of Axl: "VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) -- The start of rock band Guns N' Roses' first North American tour since 1993 turned into a disaster as angry fans rioted when lead singer Axl Rose failed to show up for the concert. Dozens of people threw rocks at police and security guards and smashed windows at the General Motors Place arena in downtown Vancouver late Thursday, when promoters canceled the show at the last minute. "Axl is going to pay," one man could be heard yelling at a television camera as a group of fans in the background were seen ramming a bicycle rack into the arena's doors, breaking the glass. Concert promoters said Rose was unable to get to Vancouver because of airplane problems in California. Vancouver was supposed to be the first stop in the band's tour to promote their soon-to-be released "Chinese Democracy" album. The band is scheduled to play Friday night in Tacoma, Washington."

MICHAEL!!! YOU BEAT AXL ROSE HANDS DOWN!!!!! TAKE CARE!!!! Read this GNR news: "December 11, 2002 BY BILL ZWECKER SUN-TIMES COLUMNIST The apparent cancelation of the first Guns 'N Roses tour in nearly a decade is directly due to lead singer Axl Rose's increasingly bizarre behavior. Always an eccentric in the admittedly wild world of rock music, Rose has close friends and associates extremely concerned over his mental state during the last couple of months. The singer himself has openly admitted he's battling inner demons. ''I managed to get enough of myself together to do this,'' the New York Post quotes Rose as telling a Madison Square Garden concert crowd last week. Sources say Rose is very close to checking himself into a psychiatric clinic to deal with ''exhaustion'' and a number of other emotional problems. Famous for his outrageousness, the aging rocker lately ''has been even more whacked than usual,'' a longtime pal tells this column. For this tour, Rose even traveled with his own psychiatrist, whose major responsibility apparently was convincing him it was important for his mental health to get onstage nightly and perform. Obviously that didn't work Friday, when Rose refused to appear for a Philadelphia gig--effectively ending the tour."
MICHAEL MONROE is the greatest!

Yeah, LA is fake dream. I feel sorry for those poor idiots who have to live there. And then some poetry: I want to be a hippi, Just like back in the sixties, Grow my hair long, And take my LSD.

Michael Monroe is really not Hanoi Rocks. In Hanoi Mr. Monroe has been Mike, if you remember. There is so much differences between Michael´s solo songs compared to so called original Hanoi songs... Just read the words of all the songs and you´ll see it!!! In Michael´s songs there really is always some message, but Hanoi has usually been singing about cliché life of rock´n´roll: girls, sex, drugs... I don´t want anybody to get pissed, I just impressed my opinion about the reason why so many covers on Michael´s solo album... (And I still think that I might have thought it right.) It´s always nice to hear some covers made by Michael - he can make coves which sounds great and really are his own style. I just hope that he has managed to keep up his own style with this coming solo album too. I think that Mr. Monroe has finally found out the way of making money and admitted that music is business... A bit sad but true. But always somebody gets hurt anyway... Rock like fuck!!! Love and light!!!

I saw Andy on television show on thursday afternoon in Finland. He mentioned that someone had created a deck of cards with pictures of celebrities printed on the cards. On one of the cards there is Andy McCoy - the card was Jack. Andy said it should have obviously been Ace and he was also wondering why he wasn't contacted about it in the first place. Andy wondered whether or not it is legal in Finland to use a celebrity on marketing something without asking any permission and he also said that he will discuss about this with his LAWYER and he might raise a legal battle about this. Does Andy really have his own lawyer????
Legal battle ahead?

New Hanoi Rocks album is great, tight rock n' roll album. There's no really deep downers, but there's no very big hits. Of course "In my Darkest Moment" is the best song of that album, but it's a ballad, so it doesn't make the album any weaker by making the other songs sould worse. Mötley Crües album "New Tattoo" was good album too, tight pack of rock n' roll which you can listen without any skipping. "12 Shots On The Rocks" is even better. Albums which I like most, are just like this, you just can't pick from there any "best" song, they are all great, but the feeling in "In My Darkest Moment" is something unique.. at first when I heard this song, I didn't really get inside the song but on the other time, it somehow sounded much better. The song is just as good as "Million Miles Away".

To Wicked: Jude only wanted Michael to be happy. Anything else is just bullshit. You have no right to make any statement about what she might of thought. You have no fucking idea. The management had a lot to do with taking some of the Monroe solo album songs for the Hanoi album. The reason that there are so many cover songs on the solo album is that they all kick ass and it's a rock n roll education. You people should consider yourself lucky that you're getting turned on to the MUSIC of the groups and artists like Stiv Bators & The Dead Boys, X Ray Spex, The Ruts, Gary Holton, Leonard Cohen, & Finnish megastar Dave Lindholm, and it's nice to see someone who cares still trying to keep the music of real rock n roll alive in 21st century. With all the crap you subject yourself to listen to, you should be happy that you get 2 new classic albums from him back to back. Who gives a fuck whether it's called Hanoi Rocks or Michael Monroe. Hanoi Rocks has ALWAYS been Michael Monroe and Michael Monroe has ALWAYS been Hanoi Rocks. Jude would've been thrilled & proud.

And if you are still wondering why there are so many cover songs in Michael´s solo cd... Isn´t that obvious???!!! Just check who has made the most of the new Hanoi songs: Michael and Jude!!! Those songs were clearly supposed to be on Michael´s solo record. The most ridiculous thing is that also the title song of Michael´s solo cd is on Hanoi cd (I mean ”Whatcha want”). Our big rockstar is also a human being and a bit greedy just like we all are, I guess. Hanoi cd surely sells more than Michael´s solo cd, so that must be the reason... Just tell me if you think that I´ve mistaken, but I´m just thinking with my own brains - even if I still am one of Michael and Hanoi fans. Just keep on rocking you Hanoi-rockers, but don´t you ever underestimate your fans! The saddest is that I am so very sure, that Judy wouldn´t ever have wanted her songs under the Hanoi Rocks name.

Tsori että kirjotan Suomeksi, mutta nyt on pakko vähän vuodattaa tunteita. Just luin Motley Cruen The Dirtin loppuun ja juonut pari olutta. I LOVE you Hanoi and Michael! Don't you ever get bored! PS: And about new Hanoi Rocks (Twelve Shots On The rocks) album it fuckin' ROCKS!!!! ThanXXX!

by the way, you can check some lyrics on watcha want right now, you just have to go & find the original versions of the songs michael covered. though i don't know if michael's versions are just the same by lyrics. happy x-mas.

WOW! That solo album cover is fabulous!!Can't wait to hear it!! I'm really interested in this Dave Lindholm song. I know it's a great song in Finnish, anxiously waiting for the English version! Well I'm sure it*s a great version, Michael never lets shit through his hands being such a great musician. Not only a singer but I mean a MUSICIAN!Multitalented! Take care Michael!

Fuck, I will move to USA and get me a girl there. Local girls don't understand why a man can be so emotional such as I am. I tell them I like Hanoi's song "Don't you ever leave me" and they tell me I am overemotional. Man can not cry???? What the fuck???? I can't take this no more. I am a man who is almost 30 years old and I JUST LOVE WOMEN and I REALLY would like to share my life with some nice woman, but here it seems like impossible thing to find the right girl. What do you think about this all?

Everyone dreams of, love lasting and true... Let's make our steps clear - so the other one may see, I will wait for you - should I fall behind, wait for me... THESE LYRICS ARE WRITTEN BY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. They are so cool I would want to cry although I'm a Finnish man. Thanks! Little Steven - Michael Monroe's good friend plays with Bruce.

The theory behind the cover songs is that perhaps Michael "donated" some of his songs to Hanoi Rock's latest album. Who knows though.

Well Cowboy Neal, that really depends on who is underneath the long hair and cowboy hat. If your a jerk it really won't matter what you wear, you'll still be a jerk and that's just not sexy. On the other hand, if your not well....

A lot of people seem to like Whatcha Want album cover. I think it looks cool too, but what I'd like to know is: do women think it's sexy if man has a long hair and wears a cowboy hat? I'll start using one too if that's the case ;)

Well, it's very easy. If you do a google search of something and you click that google link - it can take you straight to some guestbook and you THINK its somebody elses. I'm sure that happened with that poor Michael Jackson fan :) haha! If you would not see the frontpage and Michael Monroes picture, you too could be fooled.

Dear dear Hennka, don't be so serious! I only assumed you were a girl, there was no real reason behind it. i don't know who you are, i only know your name. I live across the ocean from you for fucks sake! And hey, i wasn't even involved with that nonsense "loser" conversation. My personal theory is that Michaels fans are just drama queens, nothing wrong with that. I will always say what i want (It's a natural talent!!!), but i usually won't offend anyone. I'm certainly surprised and sorry that i did, if i did. It seems like you are:(. Do you see why i call myself Miss Understood...AGAIN!!! Sorry this is so long. Did you see that Backyard Babies sponsor the Nässjö Hockey Club? So now there is a huge Backyard Babies skull and cross-bones in the middle of the ice. A bit corny, but cool too! It is said that Dregen did play icehockey in Nässjö HC as a child. By the way I wish it was the original Frankie Poison that was on Missis lap.

to MISS UNDERSTOOD: how come you've been thinkin that I'm girl? and if so, where did you know that I'm guy? And it was just a joke about that "loser" thing. Usually regular girls just keeps telling me that guys with long hairs and who hasn't decided to go army, are losers. That's what they have said to me. But I really don't giva a damn. It's much better to be a "long-haired-loser-rocker" (like they say) than some "dum-jerk-army-faggot-fuckin-idiot-lookin-dipshit". that's what I think. Say what you what, I don't care..

Pink Gibson plays a helluva lot of of guitars on Michaels solo album, and if you read the booklet back cover of Hanoi's "Twelve Shots" you can see his name listed among the additional musicians. So there.

I still haven't bought the new album. Shame on me! I am convinced that it is magic though. Anyways, >>Missi, Do you remember me having a dream (nightmare?) that you in two years time would be married to a climber with a Newgate fringe? I don't know whether it has come true or not, but here is a funny true story on that topic: A collegue of mine went to a bachelor party last weekend. The future husband, who is very interested in sailing, had to wear a false Newgate fringe all of the day, which he only seemed to enjoy. When they in the evening were going to take a sauna and the bachelor entered the sauna he noticed that all the other guys were shaved down there so he finally realised from where the raw material for the false beard was taken. Quite funny, huh?

Some interesting story about Michael I found on some sort of Misfits pages. This story proves Michael is unbelievable kind person! I was searching for all kind of Hanoi stories and found this accidentally. This is taken from www-page "http://www.onethirtyeight.com/archives/misfitsbible/two/bible180.html" Date: Sat, 4 May 1996 00:21:46 -0400 From: Bobby Steele Subject: MB 172 To: Eric I know quite a few Japanese New yorkers. That's where I learned about the Japanese scene. Also, TIMES SQUARE's drummer used to be in the DEVIL DOGS, so betweeen those people I've gotten a decvent idea of what it must be like over there. There just seems to be this 'innocence' about them. I met this one girl , afew years ago - who'd flown to New York so she could see Michael Monroe play. I thought that was a bit overly fanatical, but then I heard her story. She was a BIG HANOI ROCKS fan, who was in the hospital, dieing. Michael heard about here and flew to Tokyo to visit her in the hospital. That was enough to give her the will to live, so out of appreciation, she HAD to come here to see him. He's truly one of the nicest guys I've met in this business.
