the line "though there's no true love just finely tuned jealousy" is from Manic Street Preachers song called Life becoming a landslide. I just said it, My belief in love is much more complicated. but from some point of views, it seems that there is no true love. after all, everyone thinks and acts for him/herself. and the one who pushed the martians down, it would be nice to see you playin' better. It's so easy to shout the shit from the shadows and hide under that kinda name. grow up. but for everyone, peace & carin'.

firro! very smart line, but i doubt you'll get any girls
in the bar with it. laughs. it's very easy to be sweet
to people until you love them. though you seem to be sworn cynic about love, i humbly suggest that you keep your mind wide open. one day you may totally be taken by
surprise.....i don't know, but you never know, right?

Hey Mike!
Nice pages you have nowadays cos´ I didn´t visit here since long time.
I think that you wrote these nice words about Jude. Thanks for you! Jude was wery special person what I have seen and feel these years when I have seen her, "like a sister" what I feel when she hug me there in Ankkarock. But anyway, everything nice for your life and you know that her soul is always with you.
See you!

Hello everybody!Let me say you something about the Summersonic festival...IT WAS GREAT!And I thanx that Hanoi has played in the INDOORSTAGE, because a lot of real Hanoi fans could see them near and feel them near, you know that the people who were waiting in this stage, were waiting for Hanoi, only for HANOI, and no for other bands, just only for Hanoi, and let me tell you something more:that place was full!!The stuff must to close the door because it was FULL at all, and there were a lot of people who must to be out there 'cause there were no more place...
So I think that no matter if they has played in the INDOORSTAGE, the FACTORYSTAGE or the OUTDOORSTAGE, the only thing that matter is that they're still HANOI ROCKS, they're still and forever THE BEST, in our fans'heart...
Hanoi I LUV U!!!!!!!!!

I think that maybe we are jumping the gun about Guns n Roses and Hanoi. I saw GunsnRoses many times in the 90s and have heard right from Axl's mouth on stage that he admires Hanoi and Michael and that there would not be a gnr if it wasn't for Hanoi Rocks.
I think its unfair to put Axl down until we hear from Michael. When Michael played at the Whiskey in the 90's,
Most of the guys from GunsnRoses were in the audience cheering him on. Its about time some real rockers are playing music again..Doesn't anyone else remember how awful the mid ninties up until now how been music wise?
Keep Rocking Hanoi and GunsnRoses!

Los Angeles, - Thursday, August 29, 2002 at 05:12:46 (EET DST)
What is this HISSING about 'do not blame Axl for..', FUCK THAT I SAY! If he has done something, why can't we discuss about it? Why can't we judge Axl? Is it because he is a rock'n'roll star we can't have negative opinnions about him? Has Michael Monroe deserved to be stabbed in the back one more time??? Axl was supposed to be a friendly character, not an enemy of the band and the success of Hanoi. It was AXL who made the judgement Hanoi Rocks can't play on stadium! Every measures were done to make Axl change his mind, but no... Costello of Hanoi Rocks wrote, that he went to see GNR gig after their own gig and that's when he got mad, if he would have seen Axl walking by, he would have punched Axl in his face. ..and I can't blame Costillo for saying that.
Let's speak about things with their right names
- Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 22:53:58 (EET DST)
I can't understand why you guys are comparing Hanoi and Gn'R all the time. I think those both bands are very great and more than that! If Axl is acting weird, so what, don't judge the music, 'cause the music is a first priority. At least Gn'R and Hanoi play that kind of music we all (or almost all) love...and it's great in this nowadays' "playback music" world....but this is just my opinion...and please don't damn me. Take care all of you!

about GNR/HANOI...
I saw Hanoi (revisited) first time in Ankkarock 2001 and was totally blown away byt the energy and music. One of the best concert experiences for me ever. Last friday I saw GNR in Leeds, England and oh boy what a show it was. I doubted the new GNR but not anymore...Band really kicks ass, they play tight and Axl can still scream his lungs out.
Axl also looked as good as ten years ago (or even better), you might say that it isn't GNR anymore without the other original members but it's as good as it can get without them. GNR played 10 songs from Appetite, 4 from Illusions and two new songs: Madagascar and The Blues. The show was great ROCKNROLL experience and one of the festival's highlights. Don't put the new GNR down before you see/hear them. The next thing are the new albums, I'm really interested in hearing them both.

Every Hanoi fan knows the facts. What I ment was that Axl or infact any of the band members have never said it public. Believe me, I have read Rolling Stone, NME all major papers I could have get me hands on. I have seen me interviews and seen the band live. Not even once I haven´t heard or seen name Hanoi Rocks. Well, In Helsinki back 1990
Axl told that he had a meeting with Mr Monroe and audience went crazy. Thing is that they wandet to be original and still pay their respects to originators. So that´s why the release, visits, duets and stuff.
New GRN has recieved ecxelent reviews and why not? There is no band to be compared. This was the reason why Hanoi never got possibility to go same stage in Japan. In addition I must say that I have heard new GNR songs Madagasgar, The Blues and Chinese democracy. All great and Madagasgar is infact epic masterpeace, like Kashmir by Zeppelin.
So when Axl finaly release Chinese Democracy we should see the chainge in music industry. Rock ´n roll is coming back and no one can stop. I truly hope that Hanoi is with when things start to happen.

- Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 10:32:12 (EET DST)
I have tried to read every GNR interview that I have get my hands on since 80´s. My highlight was, when I read once in one US mag that one of Izzy´s favourite bands were Smack -> Finnish street rock band (that time) I have never seen any interview where Axl or band that time have said that Hanoi is one of the main influence. Have anyone? Axl was at the Dead,Jail Or R ´n R video, visited concerts, released Hanoi albums in US and Mr Monroe was a quest at UYI. This was their way of pay respects. Not directly. It has been like 10 years and people tend to forget. Personally I would like to see these Bands together, but what happened in Japan, will probably mean that it will not happen.

To "Elma-Aino",I have been in many Michaels gigs(over 20) and I don`t remember any concert where he hasn`t introduce the band,so don`t blackmail others if you don`t know the truth. And it`s very sad to see how some of you blame Axl Rose,he has been in those whom had believed in Hanoi Rocks,in every interwievs I have seen or read, he hasn`t talked a shit about HANO1. ROXX .and if he hasn`t allowed Hanoi get in to mainstage in Japan ,SO WHAT??? Ha noi get publicity more in media `cause of that.So we should be grateful to Axl not just blaming him.And what comes to publicity,I remember that Andy once said "..any publicity is good publicity.." or something like that..Have fun & remember to eat well ;)!!!

It has been asked, why Michael doesn't introduce the band to the audience at the gigs and why the new members have only so short names. Well, Michael has so big ego and he wants to get all the credit and groupies.

We don't actually know the wholes story about this Japan outer/inner stage mess. I think we or at least some people need people / band like GNR also, so let's hope all good for them. Sometimes facts are not what they seem to be, so hopefully Axl & Mike are still friends.
P.s. check out Costello's review of GNR Japan gig, not very blessing.

Fuck. Sometimes I just hate this world. Some days everything seems to be against you. Do you feel same? How can I find some happiness?? Do I need to change town and meet new people or what? I really feel shit 'cause I run into old 'friends' all the time and their presense make me feel bad. It's so hard to move away. What to do? Where can I find toughness to believe in myself and not care about what others think about me? I'm a big fan of life, but I would like to live it without evil people who try to put me down emotionally.

FUCK OFF LOSERS! Even AXL said that all the glory SHOULD HAVE BELONGED TO HANOI ROCKS, NOT GUNS AND ROSES!!!!!!!!!!!! RAZZLE was killed by that FUCKER MOTLEY CRUE LOSER AND THAT IS WHY GUNS N ROSES LATER GOT BIGGER THAN HANOI. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON! IF IT WASN'T FOR HANOI, IZZY WOULD HAVE NEVER COME UP WITH SUCH GREAT SONGS! IZZY MADE ALL GNR HIT SONGS. WHEN HE LEFT, GNR DIED. IZZY's FAVOURITE BAND WAS HANOI.
FUCK OFF

Gunnarit on myyny jotain 30 miljoonaa. Sit joku Anssi Kela myy suomessa yli satatuhatta vaikka onkin täyttä paskaa.

Joten rauhottukaa´mitä Axl mitä Andy´...mäkin rakastan musaa, mut mulla on kritiikki tallella.

Cant You See How Much GNR Loaned From Hanoi????
Axl Had very much same style that Mike and if you Half McCoy you will get Slash and Izzy...
So i Think Axl would be very gratefull that Hanoi Existed...
And As Andy Writes in his book something about that he saved Axl girlfriends life after The first drummer of GNR had fun with her and gave a too much drugs to her... thats why Axl sais he oves Andy...
Then just Axls piss went straight up in the head, He Changed and GNR broke up...

it's a bit frustrating that Hanoi Rocks played a fantastic concert at Japan and all we talk here is how some american dude is an asshole. Always look at the bright side of life, people! Hanoi rocked and the audience will remember that, and that is what they went to do. Love, cheers and so on to everyone here and there.

i don't think axl gives a shit anymore about some former debts to andy. axl owes a favor for andy but it looks like nippon has totally screwed axls poor head. axl just fucks nippon maidens and don't give a fuck about Michael Monroe or Hanoi Rocks.

Lainaus Andyn kirjasta:

I am a Japanese fan. I saw HANOI ROCKS at summer sonic2002.
When I was a junior high school student, I used to listen HANOI
ROCKS everyday, it was the first time that I meet with rock band
of the foreign country. Since then, I love rock music, have seen the
performance of many bands of many countries, but this HANOI
ROCKS at summer sonic was the best!! I saw real you by my eyes
for first time, what I had long hoped came true,so glad that I crid.
Please surely come to Japan again. Japanese fans are waiting
eagerly.

You have to think situatuation like Michael said in interview. There is not a bigger compliment than this, atleast you know now which band is better. Sad, I think because Axl´s new stuff like Madagasgar and The Blues are masterpieces.

Axl always was a dipshit. Even back in the old days when GnR were exciting. Perhaps he should have followed Hanoi's example and waited 18 years before rebirthing. Then again, you gotta have talent and charisma (which he sadly seems to be lacking by the truckload).

Comment:
Axl just could not get through it... Ask anyone (who really knows), promotors tried, we tried, but there were no comments why we could not appear in same stage, after all we decided to perform for the fans sake, and after the performance... think there is no questions afterwards why...

hey fuck off, all you axl killers. it's just a rumour that axl wanted hanoi to play indoor stage. what i remember is that axl loves hanoi and so on. so don't come and push the man down just because of what you've heard and you don't even know if it's true or not. it's big festival and hanoi is not as big name as gnr after all, so...but whatever, love & light.

OK, when MM is back home, how about a letter to update on what going on at the moment? I'd love to know his opinion on the gigs in Japan that they just did. Also what he thinks about being moved to a smaller stage when it's quite clear that they'd fit better on the main stage? Also what's going on with the next Hanoi album? You know, like the letters that we've had on this web site before.

Hei, puh.

Heippa vaan kaikille.

true hanoi fans can't like motley ? what ? so, is someone being stupid now or what ? what happened with raz and vince is absolutely horrible and devastating sad, I'm not denying it, but if you really think the way you wrote, there's something wrong with you. as a hanoi fan I can tell you that I like many kind of music, no matter what the people have done outside the music. I don't like motley, but not because of raz-accident, but because of I think their music is not so good. and hey yeah, high times is probably one fucking great band. love.
