For numerous years now, Hanoi Rocks has been a mainstay as one of the most popular acts of the Ruisrock festival. Now that the band has called it quits, we are fortunate to welcome the bands' frontman Michael Monroe as a special guest stage announcer.

As usual, each stage has its' own announcer, but during the weekend Michael Monroe will pick some personal favourites from the festivals' artist roster and introduce their sets. When and where these special moments will take place will be a surprise right up to the last minute.

Michael has joined a campaign for a good cause and become an official Cat Friend for Whiskas' and SEY's Suomen Eläinsuojeluyhdistysten liitto (Finnish Federation for Animal Welfare Association) annual "Älä jätä kissakaveria" campaign. The campaign is about encouraging people to be responsible pet owners, and can be translated as "Don't abandon your cat friend".

Hanoi Rocks' Farewell Shows at Tavastia sold out in record time - two shows added

Tickets for Hanoi Rocks' series of farewell gigs in April 2009 are now sold out. Because of the enormous demand the band has decided to play two additional shows at the Tavastia Club on Thursday, April 9, 2009.
